Need some help on how to disassemble a kyb shock..have rebuilt other manufacturers shocks, but not sure about the kyb...it is the front suspension shocks, have the springs off, gas discharged and aluminum cap removed from the top of the shock body...now I am looking at a black "retainer" that is inside the shock body which the shaft travels through..does not appear to be threaded in and can not tell how to remove..would like to replace the oil and seals and recharge..but do not want to damage the shock in the process...

Any help would be appreciated...IFP depths would be great too...

theres a little ring my brotehr changed a shaft on his when he broke it and all u do is pop that little ring out and every thing else should flow. he used a dental pic worked ok but it was pain he said cause it would start to come out and pop back in.

Thanks for the info...would your brother happen to have the IFP height and the nitrogen pressure?

Thanks

Is that 142 PSI, I do not have a meteric gauge....
