Need some help on how to disassemble a kyb shock..have rebuilt other manufacturers shocks, but not sure about the kyb...it is the front suspension shocks, have the springs off, gas discharged and aluminum cap removed from the top of the shock body...now I am looking at a black "retainer" that is inside the shock body which the shaft travels through..does not appear to be threaded in and can not tell how to remove..would like to replace the oil and seals and recharge..but do not want to damage the shock in the process...
Any help would be appreciated...IFP depths would be great too...
