Couldn't be a COLD seize if you think that, I was on it for a hr or 2 before! Working shitty but i was still on it! i was picking somthign metal off the head, Wasn't melted in, and same with the piston, could it be ring?

the wash (or lack of it) on those piston tops screams lean. Pull the cylinders and take some shots of the exhuast side of the pistons

looks like you were lean. cylinder doesnt look too awful though.

The first thought in my mind, is lack of oil... Looks like your on the rich side on fuel, wich is ok, but that kind of marks in your cyl makes me wonder if it got enough oil in the mixture... (oil tank or mixed in fuel tank?)
Hard to tell based on photographs though.. But if you can feel those scratches in your cyl, with a finger nail, then i would say it`s neccecery to pull of your cylinders too..

yes i can feel the scratches...i dont have any fingernails left, i got them all chewd off, happens when shit liek this happens.. i think i ate a ring.. but i was Rich, Jetted rich, N eeldes Rich, what else do i have to ****ing do to richen that thing up!!!!??????? sled isn't going to be fixxed soon, i dont have that kind of cash. Re-honed or New Cyl, Then More porting ....

sorry aj, the light was hard to tell if it was rich or lean. i was looking for piston wash and you had non which being lean can result in no piston wash. Question, Who ported your clyinders? is there a chance the ring could be catching on a port? just wondering. you'll get it going again. if you have to, with with stock cylinders for a while so you can atleast ride it.

I am so ****ing Angry about peope telling me I need to Riching up my needles or Jet up sizes.. i got all that bullshit done ok! So dont be telling me how to ****ing jet my sled! im sorry if im gettin so angry but that feels somewhat insulting to me...

wow man I'm not sure you know alot about jetting, sorry to bring it up but your going on a tyraid about it I don't think you have a clue. I remember a post where you said you were running 170 mains and 90 pilots, was that true? You were saying its gets crappy miliage but at least your safe, you can easily flood the cylinders and have fuel back up and fire out of the carb mouths, is your air box toast?

did you adjust oil pump settings? what oil you using? miles since the porting job etc? things will get better man. hard to think it now, but deep breaths and work through it. I have burned down sleds before. they always get better

Not trying to insult you, just pointing out that your piston wash indicates a lean condition. EGT's are the best way to establish and monitor jetting. Just because your jetting is good one day does not mean it will be ok on another (conditions change -air temperature, elevation, fuel quality), that's why I suggested you take more pictures after the cylinders are removed. I was trying to help you with YOUR problem. If you don't want advice (free at that so take it for what it's worth), don't publicly ask for it in an open forum.

Kinger, Sorry it was a mistake ok... i thought a buddie told me i had 90's in there, but were 60's when i checked. im sure im not the only one here Learning on a sled on this caliber so get off my *** about it for !@$% sakes. Its not Easy right now for me and this shit just makes the suituation Worse ok... Coming off a Shity christmass Break with nothi ng to show for it exept the parents that split up with no money to there names.... So anyone who wants to be a dumbass about what there saying to me its makes me feel a whole lot better in side, it really does!... Note the Sarcaism, Listen i Jetted rich until i get my Egts, people told me to Move the needles, i did that, 5th clip, checked plugs they were RICH.. so KINGER, What else do you think i should do huh? your the Expert here on jetting. what would you do?
the Porting /New pistons/rings have about ummm 200K? not a whole lot his is a rebuilt engine. i just got it going a few weeks ago, a few days before x-mas and i';ve been running into Snags ever since... so about 200 k yea or less/./ i am Using YamaLube, never Had problams with the stuff. runs good for me. i like it.
I'm just so sick of Life Kicking me in the *** for the past 6 months. the problams just dont seem to go away for me.

AJ, you gotta calm down man, I'm closing this topic 'cause it seems like panties are getting bunched over this, and nothing is realy getting solved. My advice is to let it sit for abit and come at it fresh later on, I don't think you'll learn anything in this thread you don't already know.
