Pistons & rings or just rings?
Sled has about 4500 miles on it and runs great. 120 psi per cylinder. As far as I know the pistons and rings have never been changed. Do most of you wait for them to go bad or do you change them at regular intervals? I know that the pistons are fairly inexpensive, but if they spec out ok, what would be wrong with just replacing the rings? Also I've read that these cylinders should not be honed, is this true? Just wanted to see what the experts say!!!! Thanks in advance for the replies!!!!! I also posted this same thread in the v-max forum, wanted as much input as I could get!Hope thats O.K.
