Hey guys, while we were up at Rhinelander wisconsin, we had a lot of fun lake racing with a couple guys. In this video that you are going to watch, it is my sled against a studded Apex, and against a stroker 900 hauck motor with pipes and carbs and other goodies. The vipers RPM's were running about 200 RPM to low but still ran not bad. Sorry I was not able to edit the video because it was on my brothers computer and not mine. Well here it is guys, the start was very even and I don't believe that anyone Jumped anyone else. The Topend of my SRX could not be caught inless my dad was on the gas.

Also, we raced the Apex against my dads RX-1 without the Gas and the Apex pulled away in the midrange but the topspeed was dead even. When my dad was on the gas, the Apex guy said that he has never been passed so fast in his life. Must have been about 20-25 MPH on the topend the Apex got beat by. Enjoy.

Your SRX was on NOS, Viper was quick & APEX was stock. Cool vid..........the ATTAKS are faster, I would like too run that Viper against mine, but the SRX Looks Like TOO TOO Much Sled for my stock Attak.....4 Now.

Awsome vid, too bad I lost the race! No that SRX was not on laughing gas! It's just proof that an apex is slower than a correctly set up SRX. Matt's SRX is just really fast! The 900 was running poorly, but I think Iv'e got it taken care of.
Sorry Matt I know you were expecting a little more of a challenge. When are you guys coming back up, we'll do it again!

tripplexxx, you have the hauck 900 kit? you like it?? never heard of ANYONE having that thing, I always thought it seem ed cool :) nice sleds, the viper SCREAMS! I bet the apex with a little work can still do some damage :) whats the mileage on the apex?
 
the two guys that own the srx and 900 just posted about it on this thread, it's foreal. Triplexxx is working on getting that thing setup, and he said he didn't have it set up well that day, so he is still working on it.
 
Man, you even post videos and people think you edited it to make your sled look fast lol. This SRX runs EXTREMELY well and anyone who has seen my sled on this site knows that I have no secrets. You could honestly find any part on your srx just by looking at the pictures I have put up of my sled on this site. This sled on ice will see over 120 MPH on the gun. The sled is clutched perfectly and Steve probably weighs about the same or less then me. Both sleds have studs. The 900 was not jetted to perfection in the races and the RPM's were a little low. I will challenge him next time we meet up when he is ready again.

If you spend time to setup the SRX, they run like hell and will take most sleds out there.
 
A picture is worth a thousand words, it is what it is and there was nothing "funny" about the SRX, the only thing that sled has too much of is chrome, maybe it just cuts the wind better that way. An Apex as it being the a great sled for all around use has nothing for a good running SRX in a lake race unless you force feed it in some way and I think we all know that.

When are you going back up there, I think I will make sure I bring the trail beater, give Matt another shot at the title.
 
I might have to disagree with the "Apex as it being the a great sled for all around use has nothing for a good running SRX in a lake race unless you force feed it". An Apex setup properly will run as good as an SRX especially on hardpack or ice.

I am not so sure you would like to do that. We have an RX1 that is waiting for you. As I said, the RX1 will go by that SRX that won in the video by at least 15-20 MPH. The RX1 has seen 135 on GPS while the speedo was reading over 155. Still up to the challenge.

I am sure 800 would love a crack at you too. Which sled of his would you like to race?

The fact of the matter is that the SRX is a fast machine when tuned properly and every Apex I have raced and RX1, I have beaten with my SRX. I have also beaten every Mach-z that I have raced. F7's are a joke to this sled.

Like I said before..... In Your Video, I'll race ALL THREE OF YOU..........SRX, VIPER & APEX. Other than the Viper you said they are all stock.

So Stock vers Stock.............If My Friend Mr. Jim Manning was willing to let me run his BPE TURBO'ed RX1 for a Few Quick Seconds..........

....I'm positive it would take care of yours pretty quick.
