I wasnt counting blade simply because they are only made to order now and are pretty much useless imho.. they took a polaris motor and made it slower...never got that :( I think it is a cool sled to see on the trails (how often is that?!?!?!) but sort of counted them out as a real manufacturer. just HAD to be different didnt ya??? ;)

I think Yamahas suspension is slowly getting better and racing will only help. That is were Ski-Doo learns alot and actually Ac and Polaris to but build it to last and work for the consumer is tricky. Motor wise nobody has the realiability and those triple with triple pipes are music.

Well I'm riding a Polaris right now, so I guess this question is kinda different for me. I'll admit the reliability on my Poo isn't anywhere near Yamaha standards. I knew that when I bought the sled. But the ergo's, suspension, and just overall feeling of the Poo is better for me. For me being only 160 pounds, maneuvering a heavier sled does get tiring, I guess maybe I should hit the weights. I wouldn't even consider buying a new Polaris though, but if I were buying a BRAND NEW sled my choice would probably be an Arctic Cat Crossfire 700.....or maybe a 800 Rev Summitt 144". On a side note, I like the new Yami's but I'm not ready to go for a 4 stroke yet. I'm guessing I'll be riding a 4 stroke in 5-7 years. I figure I'll keep this sled for 2-3 years and then probably buy a '06-'07 Crossfire or Summit as mentioned above. Then keep that sled for 2-3 years and then I'll be ready for a Yami thumper. I still consider myself a Yamaha guy, but when there's a better sled on the market for me, I'm not going to ignore it out of pure dedication to Yamaha.

I saw 2 blades on 136 in Pittsburg Sat, first time I had seen one in a couple years.

id be pimping out the raider with aobut 400 studs combined in both tracks, bumpin system with a heater...i would build a converitable type top...& a 350 vortec with duals.

would say Ski Doo just because there are a lot of them out there and that has to mean something….. But I agree with someone else who said “I would start Skiing again” and it would be a whole lot cheaper.:die:

I'd switch to ski-doo in a heartbeat. Most sophisticated production snowmobile engine on the planet. If your'e worried about reliability, swap in the watercraft pistons with 2 rings (the sled ones are a single ring piston) and the titanium rings, and forget about it. roll great mileage, emmisions and power all day.

I think the Rev chassis is the undisputed winner of the snowcross wars, and I think the SD Direct Injection motors are hands down the best of the 2-strokes, so where's the holdup?

well the 600 doesnt have enough power for me and the 800's seem to toss rods through the case. the 600's get awesome mileage though!

I know a guy that use to have a blade it was a turd and he was having problems with it.They handle nice though.

What He said Eric. ;)!

I would go polaris, I rode them for years and not one ever gave me any trouble at all, the viper is more work in the fall to clean the carbs, PV's etc then any polaris I ever rode. (Although the yammi is 1000% more sled and worth it :) )Two weeks ago I would have awnsered doo, but the last trip we went with 8 sleds, me, 6 ski doos, and a polaris. 1 ski doo overheated and blew up (summit), 3 of them couldn't start in the morning without hotter plugs to get them warmed up, then back to stock heat range plugs, 2 of them had to replace thier taillights (not a big deal I know but still more fiddling on a trip), and one of them had to be parked the last day cause it had the exhaust manifold came loose and it was backfiring. I like the technology in them and thought they were built well until last weekend. Most of the ones that had troubles were 2004+, with SDI, etc.

does redline still make sleds can't see to find any current info on them. other than at and after the poor winter i have had here my 05 king quad would get a whole lotta miles.

well, I saw a nice yellow and black renegade 1000 today. on looks alone, it is amazing. seems like the most reliable doo motor, only problems seems to be inconsistent performence. I dont mind being slower, but broken would SUCK lol! might change my vote ;)

Well if I couldn't find a decent low milage 02 SRX or perhaps a newer viper I guess I'd look for an 03 Mach Z.I cant help myself I just have this thing for triple triples although I'd probably pass on any cats even though my first sled was one.
