97 sx 700 crank case

I had the mis-fortain of have an outside (stator) bearing fall apart, causing damage to the piston skirt which in turn cracked both the upper and lower crankcase. I do not understand how or why this happened.
What I need is a two piece crank to start the re-build. Is there one out there?

Some '97 had problems with bearings on magneto end of crank.
Yamaha installed 2 small bearings, outer bearing had trouble getting oiled.
Solution, replace with large bearing found in '98 motor.
