My firekitty bars
Fourth pic is a before shot, to kinda see how much the 5 inch riser raised them. I'm guessing they are 2 inches higher than stock and definately more comfy. Yes, in order to fit the stock throttle you have to cut the end off of the f-cat bars to slide it over, then reweld or fit a 45 degree hook. I haven't gotten that far yet, ITS LAWNMOWER RACING SEASON, so my sled projects are in a holding pattern. Sorry it took so long.

Thanks, the stickers are Redmaters and yes I believe he can make em for a Viper.
Yes these bars are all stock, no cuts yet. This is also with the 5 inch Rox riser. I basically just threw them on to see what they'd look like, since I knew I was running out of time.

Here are some close-ups... Mind you this is with a 1" riser. I plan to go with a 2 or 3" for next year.
BTW, the aftermarket elements work much better than the orig. stock ones.

AJ that looks terrific! how did you wire them up?? thats EXACTLY what I want mine to look like in the end heat all the way to the end of the hooks?

I don't think you can get heat out on the hooks. My aftermarket heating elements didn't like to bend around the curve too much, so I got them as close to the bend as possible.

huh, thought the cats had heat to the hooke

Thanks!
No, like ejcamaro stated the elements do not wrap around the hooks. However, they do cover more area than the stock grips. They basically cover the entire bar minus the hooks. I think if I were to go with the SLP alumn hooks, they would probably warm nicely given the amount of heat the elements throw off.
I had the hooks so basically it only cost me $30 for the mod.
$20 for elements
$10 for two 8" Firecat grips
I wired them directly to the the existing wires (very simple).

any more updates from anyone doing this project on their sleds? I never got their as I found a good used mono and went to that project and kinda forgot everything else lol!
I swapped my bars at the end of the summer. It's a pretty easy install, the most time-consuming thing was to get the old grip off the oem bar.
Unfortunately we got our first real snow yesterday, so i have not tried it out for real yet. Hopefully i can give you my opinion this weekend.

Yep cut the end off and slide the throttle assembly on (you don't wanna forget that ). I bought a sportech 45 degree hook, bar, oem arctic cat grips and aftermarket warmers. Got it all from Rich. I also bought a longer stainless brakeline, longer oil and gascable and a Yamaha bar pad.

nice! how big of a rise do you have on it htat you needed longer cables? and what was your total end cost, if you dont mind sharing
If i'm not mistaken, the stock bar is about 3-4" taller than the Firecat. I had a 2" riser on before, and the pivot adapter is now raising it a bit. It's not that much higher i guess, but now when i can tilt the bar as far forward as i want to, it's going to be so much more enjoyable to ride standing up.
I wasn't really sure wether all the stock cables would work with my new setup, so i ended up buying some longer cables just to be safe. I've not changed my oilcable, i just rerouted it and it seems like it's going to work.
Don't mind at all. $200 + shipping for 6" riser w/pivot adapter ($82), bar, pad, warmers, grips, and hook. And an additional $87 for a stainless brakeline and longer gas & oilcables.
