Actually I`ve never thought of that.. I don`t think mainjet-plugging is a common reason for burndown, I just think it seems unlikely that dirt should get stuck when thinking of the great vacum the engine creates. However, I don`t know, only guessing hehe.
But it will be interesting to take that carb apart, who knows, float chamber might be full of dirt.

its common for plugged carbs to cause bad problems
