updates on 2001 SX600r

Well I went ahead and did it again, spent more money on the monster. Ordered from cbperformance a set of Blue Anodized Windage plates. Should look good and a little less rotating mass gained.

Well I got the Aluminum spindle caps and trail arm caps and put them in.They look great.Installed an LED tailight/brake bulb also.Put gas in the sled tonight and started her up. She ran for a spell and stopped. Forgot that I installed a shut-off valve and it was in the off position. Turned it on and sled ran again. At least I know the shut-off valve works.Reved it up and got everything warm. Ran her at about 7000 rpm and took a good look at my new over-sized wheels. Everything looks good and boy does that Sno-Stuff Can ever sound great to.Still waiting for my sno slips and grips. Should be in this week.Once they are installed, I am 100% ready to go.Should be an exciting riding season.Looking forward to it. Will try to put on a lot more miles then last year.Oh yeah ,I got to go and get insurance for the sled yet and lic. plate sticker.

can't get a video unless I borrow a camera, but I am happy with the things I have done on this sled. But enough money spent on this sled now. Just going to ride it. Everything on the sled has been updated to new.I am now searching for a 2001 SRX in my area, but having hard time finding one.My cousin's boss has one,and I have tried to buy it off him,but he won't sell it. He has a lot of money, owns his own body shop. He could easily buy a 4-stroke and sell me his SRX. I know he takes good care of his sleds.I'll have to work on him again. Even if I can get it before next year riding season. Then I can go thru it next summer.I want another SRX.

Just received my New Flip up Helmet with double lens electric shield and dash mount connector. Also got my Sno-slips and grips.I am getting pretty excited to get riding. Temps next week are on the decline, snow should be dropping in soon. Will install these this weekend.Starting to stock pile gas also so that I won't be caught short. Will install the Iridium plugs and new Utimax 3 belt also. The belt changing device I bought from Rich beats all when it comes to changing belts. The device spreads apart the sheaves so belt changing is a breeze, well worth the money.Again I can't wait for them Blue Anodized Windage plates from CBPerformance.I was also thinking of ordering a left handed throttle because my right hand circulation gets bad after pro-longed driving. This will give it a chance to be free for a while.I can alternate from left to right to left...etc.I'll be able to drive longer without hand going to sleep on me.This was a problem last season for me,it would be a wise investment I assume.(CTS)Carry on guys,it is time to have all your sleds up to date. ;)!

You can find it on Rich's web site. You take the secondary bolt out, slide it thru this small alum plate.with right washers and torque bolt back on, Has 2 threaded holes on each corner . You put the special L-shaped threaded wrench thru one of the holes and turn it. It in turn pushes the sheave apart easily, then you pop off the belt effortlessly. It is that easy.

Well took sled for a rip around the property when we had a little snow last week.On short runs from a standstill....nailed the throttle and from what I can see the rpm's stayed at 8600 out of the hole and stayed there, but had to let off because of the trees coming up on me. The 8DN-20 weights(empty) and 51/43 Helix with green spring seem to work well. Not getting an over rev at start which is a bonus. Will need longer runs to see how rpm's run at full throttle...if they stay there or not.Need more snow first. Have a bad feeling about this riding season, seems to be hard for snow to fall.Could it be that winters are not what they used to be.Warmer then usuall, more melting because of above 0 temps.Boy if nothing major shows up to xmas,I am going to be pissed.

Updates on the sled.Hand Guards,vx-301 ski's,Alum caps for spindle and trailing arms,sno-slips and grips,Sno-Stuff Can.New rear and idler wheels(over-sized).ice-scratchers,visor dash plug,Temp-A-Flow,LED brake light bulb
