Hey Guysss.
I have owned a 700 Vmax SX, converted to a Venture long track skid, since 01. When I first got it, our service manager at the store gave me a tip to make my already wicked sounding sled sound even better. This mod is foolproof and completely harmless, but gives the sound of your sled the extra umpf without losing any horsepower or getting way too loud, or even costing you any money!
Steps.
1:Remove exhaust springs.
2:Pull can out of sled, set on a clean work bench.
3:Rotate can so the exit port is facing upward.
4:Get a long steel punch with a fairly sharp end, a bout 1/4 inch in diameter and a rubber mallet.
5:If you have access to a flash light, shine one through the can. There should be a circular baffle a little ways down.
6.Using the punch, create about 6 holes along the very outside of the circular baffle, more or less depending on your ambition
7:And happy trailing with your new sounding triple, it should give you sort of a rumbling, echoing sound to your exhaust
If youre having doubts, dont try this. A can can be a very expensive peice to replace due to a silly mistake!

Mack
