Deal or no deal..

Hahaha, just went to the dealer with my parents..and they talked me into a 02 SXR 600 with 1,000 miles on it, mint condition for $3,600...Guess i'm getting her instead!
 

sled i bought was an 01 srx only 2000 miles simmons skis ported bender can and cold air for 2800 bought it from a private guy in sd. thing still looks brand new. i would go with an srx over an sxr way more power

My two cents is that you need to be very weary of dealers. I bought my 99 srx 700 2 years ago from Houlton Power sports in Maine and they gave me the same b.s. story. They explained to me that the sled was "trail ready" but with the price only being 2300.00 us i was a bit skeptical. I managed to get them to giv e me a 1 snowstorm verbal warranty but when I wiggled them down to 2200.00 they said the only way they could is if it meant there is no warranty anymore. Loving the look and shape of the sled i eagerly agreeded. First snowstorm i couldnt go above 80mph and kept fouling plugs. Reason= two bad pistons/cylinders/head ended up costing me 1200.00 to have woodys in topsham to rebuild but when it was done holy sh!t hold on 115mph all day long and i weigh 225lbs Ive put over 2000 miles since the incident and the sled has been amazing. I live 6 hrs south of houlton but since it took place in their county i had to go up there for court. It wasnt worth the hassle in the end but they were not willing to do anything and would hang up on me when i called and said they would be happy to discuss it in court. I did get some satisfaction though, i have a friend who is a lawyer and he wrote them a letter declairing a lawsuit and they had there lawyer take time to reply so i know i cost them some money and headache. My friend didnt charge me anything. Just so you know tyl4r, my sled has quite a few miles on her but new track, engine, i long traveled it, all new bogie bearings. and ived cleaned power valves plus greased everything. If could get 2200.00 for my sled id take it because for not too much more i could get an 02 srx 700 with less miles. But i would have no problem riding my sled a nother winter its a great sled!
 
Mehh, just got home from the grass drags and not one yami won all day long..how crappy. The finals were a ski-doo vs a arctic cat and the ski doo took it home. I was happy to see some blue sleds out there though :)
