Gunna be running SLPs on my Viper. Just curious if SLPs jetting specs are kinda lean on the pilot and mains, or are the specs on the rich side. I'm still gunna monitor the plug and piston wash. But just wondering if I'm safer running a lil more rich to start. Let know if the specs are safe to start from and what kinda temps can there jetting specs hold up to. Thanks

SLP Specs:
162.5 Mains
47.5 Pilots
2 1/2 Turns on Fuel Screw
3 1/2 on Needle Jetting
All jetting is straight across and is for 0-2000 feet sea level.

I've found they're specs to be very close, to slightly rich. So if you start with they're spec's, you should be safe.

I'm starting out with Maxx. Perf. Clutch kit made for these pipes. But if I feel that set-up isnt to my liking, I already have most of the parts for a diff. set-up that Skidooboy gave me. Thanks for your .02 fellas

HEY! IS THAT THE HDN-20 SETUP? I always wanted to try it and was wondering if can give me that setup and also what elevation you normally run and do you have a short track with the original track?? thanxs because I was going to throw something in it this year and it would be great to get it close, thats if skidooboy doesnt mind.

X, just some info for you on that kit, in case your not aware of the update. Maxx changed their original kit, which used stock 8EKs to diff ones, not sure what they are. i havent tried the newer kit, but if your planning on using the 8EK setup, its not that good. consider ski's if it includes 8DNs.

The newer kit uses 8BF weights with 4.5gm inner and 3.6gm outer. I'm switching those out for the DN8-20 . Reason I'm running with these is if you find a chart on these weights the B8F takes a dip in force unlike the DN's its a gradual climb.

Thanx ski, I PMed you if I don't get back to you for awhile its because it's a busy time of year for me but I do appreciate your time as well as others. The jetting specs were good for me with slp setup I think I went on the safe side with the needle for mid range and backing off of a hard run.Don't worry about fuel mileage it was ok for what you gained, no srx from what is written on here but not that bad with other sleds from that year in my opinion.
