Moto X style helmet here except when it gets really cold. Then I'll use a BV2S recently bought new for 125.00. Priced in error, but still gave the marked price plus half off.

I vote for another Snowforce - with an electric face shield. Great combination, never been cold and always a clear view. I just replaced my old SF with a SF IV.

What's the difference between the Snowforce III and IV? Anybody try the snowforce modular?

I have both Moto X and the Skido Mod, I like the Moto X for warmer weather but the Modular when it gets to 0 or colder. I've had my Modular since December 01 and if it ever gets to the point I have to get a new helmet I'll get another one. The only thing I don't like about mine is the snaps break about once a season.

I picked up a Scorpion EXO like the one above at the Novi show, but without the BRP tag on it, like this one, Scorpion makes it for BRP.
Figure I am willing to experiment once on a new to the market helmet. You get an electric shield, sun visor, removable/washable liner, anti-fog/coated inner shield all for $200. With electric shields going for $75 on their own it was worth a try to me. They were discounted $30 at the show.

Brp
I paid 106.. I wanted to see if I liked it before dumping the money on the shield. My wife got one with graphics that was more 120.

What vendor had them for that price? That's a great deal. The Scorpion display at Great Lakes Motorsport is where I got mine, they had non-electric, graphic for $149, $129 for solid. Electric was $199 graphic, $179 solid.

Don & Roys Motorsports. From Brookfield Wisc. My sister and brother in-law found them there the day before for that price. But they did not tell me where. So I spent an hour checking prices. The damn things run a little small huh?
Crap! they were at the milwaukee show, and I did not stop by the booth.

Yes, they do run small, that was the one negative. I had to bump to a 3X which isn't Snell, only DOT. I was wearing an XL in a HJC. The 2X was close, but since I wasn't wearing a head sock I figured better to go with what was comfortable rather than counting on it breaking in!
2nd on the running small part. I have a Large that I will be using this year, if its too small I may sale. It fits good going on, its just smashes the ears coming off? Is this normal for those that have one? Thanks

Have you guys used these yet? I hear about complaints and thinking about offing them before I wear it.

I found 4 plugs in the vent holes, underneath the liner. I told the wife that we might be in for trouble. So she got out the manual and started reading. Next thing I hear. "The helmet comes with vent plugs inside the helmet, to block vent holes. They can be left in place to reuce air flow or removed." I guesss I should have read the book. Next weekend is the trial date for me unless they sell.

The modulars are nice if you have glasses, but i won't where one. My best buddy's unlce was killed a couple of years earlier because of a failure with a modular helmet that flipped up on him when he flew off the sled. After seeing the accident, i'll stick with a regular solid front helmet.

Wore my Scorpion for the first time Sat., it is not unfoggable but it does clear itself pretty decent when moving so the venting is fair. Too bad the sun shield isn't coated with the same stuff as it DOES fog. After one day of use and only messing with it some, I would give the helmet a "B." It will take some getting use to but is good on fit and noise level.
I would say the chin guard is a pain at the moment but I was getting more use to that as well.

JUNK!.. The seal failed between the lenses. My sister and brother inlaw had electric shields that worked on the EXOs. Mine was so bad I went back to get the old sno force. Even with the electric shield the sunvisor will not work because of frosting. They also snow packed above the helmet opening. I wish I would have purchased the sno force III. J

I'm going to give this helmet a try. 199.00 with the electric shield.
