I need to mount a skid plate on my SXR and just want to know if it's all good
just to drill where the holes are pre-placed on the plastic skid plate into the belly pan of the sled? Should I use Rivets? or Bolts? I think bolts will be a mofo to get in there though.

You are ok drilling into the belly, use bolts with large washers and you should be fine.

I put a floor jack under the plate to hold it up TIGHT, and drill at a slight angle,so the bolts pull the skid plate up tight. had @ 1/8 gap on top on the first one I did looked poor!
Don't let the drill bit go in too far . . .

The only problem with bolts is that they stick out a bit and whill catch on rocks and sticks instead of slidding over them, unless u only trail ride.
