power madd hand guards

Here are some more pictures of Powermadd hand guard mounts and my Rox 2" riser. You have work a little to get the Powermadd mounts to work around the Yamaha parking brake lever. I am happy with the position of everything. However, I have not ridden with this set up yet. Only snow will tell.

how do you put the risers on? ive never done this before..maybe i should get it done by the dealer or just experiment myself

crewchief I like the mirrow setup you have on the powermadds. Rich was showing me somthing similar. I think I will do mine like that too. Looks more compact. Thanks.

I can't take credit for the idea, saw it on someone else's sled at the first Muni ride last year and had one of those 'why didn't I think of that' moments.

Rich from Rich motorsports mention someone too but, I can't remember the name. They look good.

well i fitted on the brake side of my guards wow does she look hot..tryed turning it and exactly what i thought she hits the windshield..so first thing in the morning im off to see if they have the 2 inch riser kit in stock:) didnt get to mount the other guard since i got scared off by a skunk and ran away like a little girl...will post pics tommrow or sunday :letitsnow

92vwgti,
Whether it is a riser block or pivot riser, they are similar and easy to install. The onl thing you have to be careful with is making sure your cables and brake line are not pulling when you turn the bars lock to lock. You might have to unclip some cable ties or re-route them.

I just put the powermad handguard mounts on my Viper and put them between the grip and the throttle block and the grip and the brake mount. The only thing I ran into is when I went to loosen the brake master to slide it inwards to make room for the mount it wouldn't go inwards toward the middle of the bars. I found that the bars have a bead of weld on them to prevent the brake master from going in, I'm guessing this is a safety thing if it ever comes loose it can't move far. I had to grind that off so I could move the brake enough to get the mount kit in. Otherwise went ok. I have a med. windshield and a 2" riser so the guards clear on turns.

well after waiting for some parts i finally got the riser block installed..i went with the 2 inch lift and all fits well. i didnt even need to relocate brake cables or anything and it turns quite freely. i took it out for a drive and wow what a difference but i like it. also was feeling like doing a bit of off roading so i found a ditch that had about 3-4 feet of snow,so i said what the heck lets try it out.i made my first attempt but i wasnt so lucky on my second try and got stuck, next mod come spring = long track!! heres some pics of how my new and improved girlfriend looks.
