Leds On a SLed??

How hard is it to install LEDS on a sled, Is there a Limit?

thinkin about gettin blue or Red...Or Are these Even LEDS?

What Kinds, How many wats Allowed... im not sure how much, i dont know a whole lot about it. lol

not sure about laws but i bet blue and red are not game warden friendly colors. as for amount the skys the limit leds use a fraction of the power a conventional bulb uses you could probably cover you're entire sled in lights and not exceed the charging system.
 
dennis kirk sell light pods kinda in a string like christmas lights are only led's but i'm willing to be someone on here is selling them.
 
Wow, LED's would be a much better alternative to neon from a power draw and durability perspective. I didn't even realize the product existed.

I drove all over Gaylord Mi last winter @ night no one said anything to me!
 
the leds are the way to go, minimal amp draw and they can be very bright. i think the mxz in the pic has led's, i installed a few sets on a xc last year and they were atleast that bright. get the ones from dennis kirk the have six leds in one box, very bright.
 
a buddy of mine had some on his zr & it was wild.green underneath the sled & orage in the vents.but he didnt need many.just 4 green & 2 orange & it was a space ship.they had tiny led bulbs in the middle of a unti that was about a 1'' by 2'' colored piece of plastic.i will take pictures & show you.i own the sled now but the wirers got cut off for some reason i dont know.
 
Snow Force LED's

I have the set of Snow Force LED's with the Strobe switch. The LED's work great and the service is great, comes with life time warranty. They are very bright with min draw. I have them wired in to the heated visor cord.

while i must admit that they look cool and all that....the last thing that i would want to do is draw anymore attention to myself at night!!!!
 
can somebody go through a good explanation on how to do this? such as where to tie your power into and so on, where did you put your ground and so on. I have been thinking on doing this to mine for a while now but i dont want to tie into the wrong wire and mess anything up.

I can't say for sure that Snowforce are the best out there (not the expert)but compared others that I have seen. the other companies LED's are crap. These are very bright, small, very low profile and like I said life time warranty. But they are probably more expensive.

Mine was easy. the I put the ground on one of the handle bars mounting bolt, the positive was wired into the heated visor plug that was all ready there. the kit comes with 6 lights. 2 I placed at the back of the sled just past the side heat exchanges with the wires routed though the running board's edge (the rounded edge) two I placed just slightly behind the front of the heat exchange wires routed into the cowling and last 2 on the front shock wells (side towards the back of sled) these location were pick because they offered the best protection, if something was to hit them it would have to take the heat exchanges first and if that happened, the light are the least of you worries. I wrapped all the wires with tape and drilled the wire holes oversized with rubber grommets. The hardest part was fig out where to put them, the rest was just time. I can take pics when I get a chance, if you want.
