Today we had a little snow here & I had to make a few runs with all the work I have done to this sled Here is the deal I have kind of a wierd clutch set up, The sled is a 97 SX 700 ALL STOCK I have a RX1 clutch using the rollers out of it ,weights are the stock ones from the 97 sx, Advantage 43/35 helix stock secondary spring in the # 3 hole & #3 hole 40 20 gearing The sled pulls the skis easy! ( I am a HUGE person 5'4" 135) sled shifts out great I was 3/4 throttle @ almost 90 on the dream meter looked @ the RPM's almost 9000 how would you lower this? Thank you Dan
add weight to the clutch arms. Also, you didnt mention what primary spring you have in it.

Is there a better Arm ? Can you suggest a weight? Stock spring! Imrviper700 said:add weight to the clutch arms. Also, you didnt mention what primary spring you have in it.
got it from Turk when I bought the new primary needed the longer spring I think BWB . Suprised you would help me seeing my goal is to one day win that little 700!

4.5 gram inner & a 3.6 gram outer rivet should get ya real close.

Thanks do you think I should go with the 14mm rollers now too? I tell you turk I had alot tell me that the 43/35 was to shallow & the sled would bog This thing pulls hard & keeps going!Turk said:4.5 gram inner & a 3.6 gram outer rivet should get ya real close.
That helix is an advant-edge & you can,t compare it to anything else. A lot of guys just don,t understand or know the differences in the way the aftermarket guys manufacter their helix,s. Keep the 14.5 mm rollers & the stock weights....good combo in that sled for trail riding.
