I have 96 down the middle now, I have another 48 to install. Should i put them in the middle of the track or outside the slide rails. The sled i have is a 1998 600 vmax sx, The track has 1" lugs and the studs are 1.080"
Thanks for any input. Mike

Hey Mike, you have the right studs, put them down the middle. Studs on the outer belt are nothing but trouble. You can go 3-3-3-3 or 4-2-4-2.

every sled I ever studded I installed studs on the outside because I wanted the most scratch lines I could get. I always thought the studs by the rails had the most weight pushing on them, for traction. I had 168 studs, 36 scratch lines on my 93 Exciter SX, 97 XTC, and 02 Viper before I 136'd it JUST MY OPINION

some people say that studs on the outside of the rails help in cornering and some say they make it harder to corner, which is it ?
studs
I have always ran studs on the outside but since I tried them on only the inside I won't go back to putting them on the outside. It's a personal preferrance I guess.

pro just have to ask why?
do you feel it turns a little easier? less pushy? out of the hole?
don't know if I will ever own a studded sled again but one never knows.
is the video you, Eric and? or did you just find it?
