Mont Valin

Nice place. Went there last year on the way to Onchwaway (spelling error). Awesome trails.

yamaholic22 said it right pooor snow = poor sales (most of the time)which means less profit for mfgs = were not making any money so lets rais prices to increase profits which means me and you pay more for a new sled. in 99 i paid 6300 for a phazer (spanking new) now there how much?

Just my view on poor snow conditions

Pat
New Phazers are still about $6,300 but very much improved.
Pack up your sleds and come out for a visit, we have enough snow to have fun. You do not need to have a mtn sled to have fun out here, believe it or not, we even have groomed trails. I hope what just hit Colorado heads east and does not stop dumping. 26" at my house in 36 hours.

Hibou Blanc

92 VWGTI: I am a personal friend of Peter Halibrand and Tom Seale, The parc de Mont Tremblant is this the one I got through on the way to St Michele Des Saints?

Could be a few more years like this to come.I am really pissed that there isn't any real snow out my way also.I imagine the dealers are going bonkers here to.Been mild and the rivers are unsafe to ride on.There is no forcast for snow here at all in the near future. This just all SUCKS.It is a good thing I didn't purchase a new sled to sit in the shed and have to make payments on it also.Things are a changing and it is not good for us and the suppliers.

hey wow its such a small world my best friends friend works for tommy seale grooming the trails.. you might know him also his name is john chambers..and yes i believe you pass through the parc du mont tremblant and rouge mattawin going to st michel des saints... but if it doesent snow up in the mountains with this storm and decides to rain it will suck very much

Let the dealers go Bonkers. My sleds are paid for and I'm sure not going to sell them or trade in for newer. Ill never ever buy a brand new sled again. You lose way too much on them the first few years.

You got that right. The prices are high brand new.Good to wait a few years and find a good used one, then you can work on it to get it where you would like it to be.This way you don't owe the bank any money for years to come.

The dealers may have to do the same as has been done with cars and trucks for the past years.Lease the vehicle out,but in this case could still be an expensive deal, especially in the summer when not in use,u would still make payments.Different if you live somewhere where there is snow year round.

I know the dealerships are hurting but do you really think they are hurting that much... if they dont sell sleds wouldnt you think they would be selling more quads, dirtbikes, boats and all of thos kinda things.
Ex.) i was waiting for yamaha to come out with a 170 hp sled. but instead i am gonna buy the grizzly 700fi camo with 27" ITP's this will still be over $12,000

That is true, the local yamaha dealer is also a Honda dealer. Four wheelers, street bikes, dirt bikes and snowmobiles is what they sell. They are putting up a new building and it is going to be 46000 sq. ft compared to 24000 sq. ft. Hopefully everything works out and we get our seasons back the way they used to be in the past. :letitsnow

yep, and on a used sled you can pick at the price a little where new ones u really cant. I dont know about the lease thing, I would rather have a loan on the sled to own it out right with the exception of the bank having a lien on it. alot can go wrong in a lease. Ive heard horror stories. If I go back out west again, I still wont buy a new sled. Ill just look for a good used MTN APex. My SX and SRX is paid for. SRX is still one of the coolest sleds out there and can still beat a ton of sleds.

92 VWGTI: No I don't know John Chabamers, but I sometimes ride with Tommy Seale and his nephews Johnny and Ricky. I think Ricky lives in Peterboro Ontario, and Johnny lives in Lac Louisa. I just received a package in the mail from Club les Hibou Blanc, and it a bunch of Quebec trail passes. I sell them in New York for the club. It helps to have your pass BEFORE you show up because one year we got there and there were no passes around. Any how it helps the Hibou Blanc since we sometimes sell a lot of passes.

I hear there there is snow in Chibougamau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A basic one (phazer) cost around $6700 which is a $400 over a 8 year period and considering all the research and devolpment for this state of the art machine and cost of living increase that is a bargain. You gotta pay to play.

The way these last several winters are going, all the sledder websites might have to put in a seperate NO SNOW gripe link so we can all vent. This winter here is looking like the it may be the all time worst yet. We have set the record here for the warmest and least snow ever for December. Quite depressing!!

So what I am hearing is that will have to drive to Denver or Northern Canada to find snow?! WTF?! It was great to move into my new condo today-50 F or so and clear-but it is frickin December 23rd!!!!! I have dumped a ton of money into several project sleds this year. I am a bitter, bitter man. But I guess the will look good in the garage.

It seems like whenever Im able to sled there is no snow. Wasnt able to last year cause I was in Iraq. now i get to go home to ride and no snow. When i was in WA state last 3 years there was nothing either. As soon as i left Wa they got dumped on

My sled is in michigan so atleast you can look at yours in your garage.
