My viper is stolen !

I just got a call from the guy that cleans the snow at the cottage and found out someone forced the garage open and stole my baby !
They also took my old but in good shape 1978 everest 444.
They also forced the door open into the house and went through every thing. I called a neighbour and friend to talke a look at everything and he is going to reinforce the garage door tonight until i get up their in the morning. They also took my snowmobile suit ,helmut,gloves,boots, a caise of oil and im sure a whole bunch of things in the house.
This really sucks ! I dont have tons of money to go out and buy a new sled and insurance companies along with the police will take a least a month until they cut me a cheque !
I just got my viper the way i like it and have put on many add on's and this viper was as mint as you can get ! It looked even better than a new one !
Im really pissed off ! The machine only had 2500 miles on her and now im out a sled for at least a month. :o|

my buddy just had his polaris stolen last saturday. we were looking day and night for a week, ride around wherever possible. he was lucky enuf to find this saturday.
 
That sucks guys.

I think it would be a great idea for the manufacturers to put a tracking device on sleds somehow.

I hear about sleds stolen every year. Most of the time they end up in chop shops. I brought my baby down to mississipi with me. I dont see too many peole wanting to steal a sled down here out of my drive way.

a shit no that freaking sucks.. well this is great i left my srx and my bro in laws srx outside in back of the chalet.. hope shes still there this weekend. best thing to do is keep your eye out for parts for sale on local forums...makes me think..il bring back my sled in town this weekend..i hear in st agathe theres a sled stealing going on. its most likely locals that know you arent there during the week.

I'm sorry to here that. I had my srx stolen 2 years ago by some dumbass in my neighborhood. I ended up gettin the sled back with some percerverence and you too could get lucky and someone might have some info or know who to question. Good luck and let us know what you find out. I would have beatin that kids *** but I am was 24 and he was 17. Can you say assault on a minor?
 
Sorry to hear about your sled. Just wanted to let you know about my story.
I had a very valuable guitar stolen a few years ago and I didn't get any insurance money to replace it. I just kept watching the papers and one day a year and a half later the scum that stole it decided to sell it. I called the cops to go there with me to view it with me and sure enough it was mine. The police also recovered hundreds of other stolen items. Keep up the fight!
 
Im sure its going to chopped up ! It really sucks because to me this wasnt just a normal viper, Their was a lot of time and effort to make it as clean as possible ++ all the add on's. I dont even have all the receipts for all the extra's i bought because some were private sales. Just like the 1 inch predator track with 144 studs on it.
Also its the pain of going up north in the morning , fixing the door, missing work, going to the police to place a report, Setting a date with the insurance adjuster ect..
My personal and work related life hasnt been all that great either of late and Snowmobiling on weekends or just folling around with the machine was a great escape and now some little puke has to go and ruin everything for me. :o|
 
Man that really sucks! I hope you find it and it the same condition!

Funny story comes to mind with all this. This guy stole a snow-blower and cleared a path all the way back to his house with it. Where the cops put him under arrest, and retuned the snow-blower to home. Dumb-a**!!!!!!!!!

wow that sucks, had to be someone that knows you, to know when your gone and whats in your garage. I guess i better get some theft insurance.

Il keep an eye out for it, around here. Is there anything that woudl stand out on it that cant be removed cracks, dents ectra.
 
i'm so sorry to hear about your sled. i know if mine was stolen i would probably start crying. i hope you find it and all your other stuff.
 
Thanks Guys ! Concept Carbon it does have two red deflectors on the rear because i screwed up when drilling for the rear heat exchanger. It also has two small decals on the trailing arms because one has a small scratch so i put a decal on & black traction brackets ! Also i had my fedaration fcmq patrol jacket in the rear trunk. So if you see some jackass with a patrol vest on , on a viper call me up or the cops !

hey when you get there tommrow try and follow the tracks and see where it takes you. i gurantee its a close neighbour that knows you have a sled..if you want come get my srx and put it in your agrage and use it as bait lol well set up some cams
 
I'm always on ebay looking at parts and sleds. as i'm sure everyone else is. i'll keep an out for ya Quebec.

Sorry about your sled. It would be nice if you could buy i gps locator you could hide on the sled and if anything happened you or police could use a standard gps and locate sled and the bastard who stole it!..............James
