Your servo might be working correctly and it might just be working, you know what I'm sayin? Like others have said cables might be too tight. Is your TORS disconnected?

Just because it works when a battery is hooked up doesn't mean it's working when the sled is running... You could have a short circuit or other problem with the servo off your sleds power source. make sure the servo is pulling when you are above 6500 rpm.

thats what i had short circuit and the servo needed to be changed..if you have a buddy with an extra servo motor swap it and see if it still does the same thing

Temp light
I have the same problem on my 98 SRX. When i get near wide open throttle the temperature light blinks six times. How often do the powervalve servo motors go bad? Could this be a wire rub through?

i just test ran my sled this afternoon to get a consistant code. I know for sure that each time it came on it blinked 7 time in 5 seconds. In the manual it has this as a code but it doesnt have the description for what it means. Can anybody tell me what the code means when it flashes 7 times in 5 seconds?
thanks
thanks

code: YPVS Servo motor lock, open or short circuit
I would inspect your powervalve adjustments, if the cables are over adjusted(too tight) you will get this code.

so my servo isnt able to open all the way since my valves are so tight and thats causeing the light to go on? So just reset my valves a little looser and i should be free sailing?
thanks

when i adjusted my valves i took the pipes off as well as the manifold pipes so i could feel the clearance, then i hooked up a battery to the servo motor so that it turned and pulled the cables as tight as possible, then i turned them back until the were flush with the exhaust port. But evidently i have had an error in there some where. this time when i adjust them should i do what some people say, lower my idle down to about 700 then shut the sled off? this suposidly opens your valves as much as possible, then you can flush them up from there.

Somebody posted a wile back that they tryed both, the 900 method and
the wire harness and both put the servo in the same spot..
adjust them yamaha's way,,use 2.5mm

the 2.5 mm is the distance that the valve is off the piston, correct? how do you guys manage to get that so precise, kinda tough to get a set of calipers in there. Not sure how im going to do that.
