Is porting worth the money? I'm running a 600 with triple pipes. I was looking for a little bit more power and scoot at top end. If i port it, who would be the best to look into it?

Why not put a viper motor in there - save you a lot of headaches, and you could still triple pipe it. Just curious.

My ultimate goal is to build 835 and drop it in. But, i'm not ready to venture down that road. I just want to make my 600 quick.

Porting my 700 cost about $900 Canadian and there was a notiable difference. Putting a non power valved 700 motor or top end may be just as cheap if you buy used on this site. I have had no problems with porting, single headgasket and SLP triples at 8900 on a 700. put on over 8,000 ks with the porting and total of over 12000 ks all together and still running.Someone on this site had ported 700 cyls for sale so maybe check that route out.

buy those ported 700 cylinders from betheviper and get a set of 700cc pistons and rings and a bit fatter jets and make that thing a sleeper "600".
