need to know opinions on these products for the SRX

For my 2002 SRX,am thinking of getting Predator 1" track,fully clipped but with no studs.Should I go bigger..lets say 1.25 lug,but would loose some speed then.Looking at Simmon's Flex Ski's also..dual runner all in Blue.Also want to put in Carbon Tech Reeds and finally what do you think of the Heelclicker Kits for the SRX.Will have to buy a 43 Helix for it.There is sale on,25% off until April 1 and I need to know what you think of these up-dates to the sled.PLEASE give me input. Thanks.
 
I put on a 1.25 rip saw and let me tell ya does it hook up. But the only problem I can stud unless some mods are done. I like the idea of studding but hate the problems that come with studs.
Other stuff I can't comment on, but my stock skis are fine with dual carbides.
 
I like the 1.25 ripsaw track,works good on my SXR600 to.Really hooks up.A lot of guys have talked about the Predater track,but I really don't want to run studs anymore.How will a 1" Predater track do on an SRX.Must be a tad better then the stock track I assume.Can I run the 1.25 ripsaw and not loose much in speed.I want to put on a SC10-III suspension to and really would like to know what track would be the best to use.My goal next season is to try and get the best top speed I can.Heard that the HEELCLICKER KIT will add 12-15 HP to the track and dyno charts have proved it,so the track should really be the right track for hook-up.Any more suggestions here.
 
Once I got all my electrical issues solve ( new stator ) and the track put on I did not notice any loss in top end it seemed faster with the hook up. My friend got a hack saw on his F7 and says its got good hook up but I think he wishes he had that extra .25 of an inch. The very last run of the season down a country road the dream meter indicated 195kph.
 
I CAN,T COMMENT ON TRACK OR SKI,S, BUT YES TOO HEEL CLICKERS AND YES TOO THE REEDS. ALTOUGH YOU MIGHT SCUFF SOME TOP SPEED WITH THAT SKID. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
I KNEW THERE WAS A GOD OUT THERE SOMEWHERE.I wander how much speed I can loose will that skid in there? Does anyone have a clue on that? I take it you run the heelclicker 's YAMMIEGOD 3:16. STILL 1"Predater track or a 1.25 Ripsaw track?
 
JUST A GUESS, YOU WILL SCUFF ALOT OF SPEED WITH THAT SKIDFRAME. ANYWAYS I DO RUN HEEL CLICKERS IN MY 2000 SRX. I HAVE 8BU-00 IN MY 02. ALLAN, DON, AND TURK ALL GAVE ME THE HEEL CLICKER BUG AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS OF ARGUEING WITH THEM ABOUT THEM. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!!!!! NOW, WHAT YOU WOULD NEED TOO DO IS TALK TO THEM FOR THIS APPLICATION. MY 00 SRX IS RACED. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
If you are not going to stud, you can't go wrong with either the 1.25" ripsaw or the 1.25" sixpitch - I have a 1.25" ripsaw on my 02 and it will bury the speedo so I don't agree with the slow you down theory - you'll love the Simmons ski's, reeds don't add much IMO, and if you dial in your Heelclickers correctly, you'll love them also - I agree that you'll loose some top end with that skid!
 
well I thank you for those kind words of wisdom there yammiman.Even a while back was talking to the original owner with the dealership(YAMAHA) about my 2002 SRX and tracks.He said forget about studding and put in the 1.25 Ripsaw and you'll have no problems.And as for a new suspension,should I then go to a monoshock from an RX1 maybe.Do you run your stock suspension on your SRX yammiman?
 
I had the shocks all re-done by Maximum Performce when they were still around - did not change the height by much but rides much better - I think Mountain Performance offers the same service - I also think you could go with a Viper skid and not lose any top end from what I've read on here - don't have any experience with that though - Tony - the V-Max is sitting in my garage - too busy riding this winter to get it finished LOL - got all the parts I need for the sled itself, I can't make up my mind how far to go with the motor - for what I'm going to use it for I might as well hop it to the hilt!! - my wife is sure that one of my toys is going to be the death of me, but I'll be having fun when I go!! - I'll keep ya posted!
 
bluemonster why a 43 helix?Don't go by heel clickers set up for the srx there way off.I ran the heel clicker in my 01 srx about 4 years ago with a 50-36 it worked reall well runnign with a 43 it will kill you mph and slow you way down.
 
I don't want to contradict anyones opinion here but it has been posted in the past that aftermarket reeds such as V-Force and the like make no noticable difference in a stock engine.The carbon fiber petals like you mention may but I can't recall reading any posts recently on them.
Heelclickers are a pretty good investment but take some time to dial in properly.
Can't comment on the Ripsaw but it seems to be a popular choice as long as you don't intend to stud it,if you do then you get into swapping for smaller drivers and the gearing changes to offset those.
