Reed Stopper Notch

When performing the reed stopper notch mod do you need to modify the reed pedal?

no just the stopper. Go to the tech section it is in there on how too. If you do anything to the petals they are junk. Maxdlx

well i did it (info from here ) and it certainly eliminated the low gurgle! it's worth....thanks ty again!

Yes it's worth it. I just changed from reed spacers to the reed stop mod. I think the reed stop mod cured the mid range burble problem better and also the reed spacers moved the carbs back just enough that it caused the steering collum(?) to rub on the center float bowl. not good. Soc

if your carb hits, install a couple washers under the back motor mounts.

installing a boost bottle makes way more of an improvement, what a different animal this sled would have been if sold with a boost bottle , srx syle reeds and notched.

also, drill the exhaust,
