I have a 2002 SRX ported with v force 2 reeds and a Peak performance head. Was looking at these 38 TMX carbs. Anyone run these do they give any performance benefits or just drink more fuel?
Thanks

Yes, run them. Get a set from a Mach Z. They are the same width and spacing as the SRX carbs. They work well.

If you run them, you must take the dividers (if you have them), and the shelf out of the airbox. Also drill holes or cut a slot into the top cover under the foam to get more air in there.

I am not sure if they are TM or TMX. Get a set of carbs off of a '98-03 Mach Z. Go to the dootalk.com forums. You'll find a few sets there.

I am trying to recall how the stock carbs plug in. I haven't run them in quite some time. I believe you simply take the wires and plug them into each other instead of the tps. One of the lights on your dash will be on steady, but it doesn't affect performance.

i have the set that valin sold me, never used them, at least i think that is who i bought them from, bought them a year or so ago and never did use them. anyway, 200 shipped
let me know

Hey guys, I just picked up a set of 38's, the mains are 430, pilot 50, thats as far as i got on checking them out. Now i have question,with the float bowl removed i noticed that one of the little brass tubes that stick out from the bottom is shorter than the other two,Is this normal? I sure hope it is.Oh yeah also does anyone know what the clip position should be for the needle,i want to make sure and check,dont want totake for granted that its in the proper position being they are from a tottaly different sled. Please let me know boys. Thanks

IMO, no, but great for a 835bb srx.

I agree with mopar1rules, on a stock engine it would be a waste of money. Put 38's on a BB or a ported & piped SRX and see a 8hp gain according to the dyno.

Carbs

Are the TMX's flatslide or round slide. If they are flat slides the TMX's are a true flatslide compared to the TM flatslides like Yamaha uses stock correct?
