Well I decided I can't put this off any longer. Winter is almost here and my first child is due in 4 weeks or less (AHHH!!!). Anyway, project began last night and like any good event I kicked it off with a beer, lol. ;):D (That was for you Bender).

Project includes:
Ceramic coated SLP triple pipes
SRX base gasket
Bender Opti-cool head gasket
New piston rings
New mechanical water pump seal
Rejetting for new pipes
New Predator 1" track, with 144 down the middle
Front heat exchanger repair
Oversized Polaris idlers
Water temp gauge
Making some stuff shinny again
…and of course other required maintenance stuff

Guess we should start with a before pic:

Well would you look at that
...that's twice I've worked on this thing and it's snowed.

BenderSRX, SNOWRULES and Concept Carbon are going to start hoping I never get this thing finished, lol.
:letitsnow

^^^^LOL. I would come over this weekend to help you out but i'm going to breakin the SRX this weekend and get ready for snowrules. Based on snowrules mods he should wax me, but we will see. HEHEHEHE. Looking at the temps for the next 2 weeks i think we will be on the ice in 2 weeks from this weekend. I can't wait. Yammer do you have a bearing puller? i can't remember witch bearing needs to be pulled, i'm thinking its the one you have a big socket on in the last pick.

It’s the bearing in the chain case that won't budge. Speedo bearing slid right off no problem. I think I’ll just give up on trying to shortcut the process, take the chain case off and do it properly. That is if SNOWRULES doesn’t have it out by the time I get home, lol (fingers crossed).

Have fun this weekend!

No pictures today, but I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to SNOWRULES who not only picked up my motor to put the new rings and water pump seal in, but also got out the drive shaft that was driving me nuts.

She'll be purring again soon...

Well with the baby coming soon it’s been almost impossible to find time to work on the sled so I decided to take it up to the cottage where I could get a little from my wonderful neighbour SNOWRULES. Plus he has a drive in heated basement which never hurts, lol.

Anyway, first course of business was getting the front exchanger back in.

Next we decided to tackle the motor items: rings, mechanical water pump seal, SRX base gasket, Opti-cool head gasket, and power valve cleaning.
