Hey guys,

I think I finally have everything correct on my sled. I have mrvipers trail porting on my 02 SRX. 8DN-20's filled with 4.5G rivets WWW primary and 51/43 helix set at 70 with green spring and stock gear ratio

Do you guys think its possible for me to hit 119 MPH??? I say this because I have a RIP SAW track and I am more than sure it will slow me down some.

What have you guys been seeing for a trail ported motor

Oh and remember... :bash: :bash: LOL

Engages relatively sofy about 3800 RPM. I have not tried my set-up. I am sure it will rip but we will see. That WWW spring is pretty soft. Seems like it will help grip the belt hard and no belt or track slip. I was over revving a few hundred last year with stock spring and 4MM shim.... Seems like belt was slipping bad out of the hole and would catch itslelf on top end. When Mrsled's big BUTT got on it and would pull perfect RPM's though Go figure LOL I cant wait to try it out.

cool right where i like it...yea that does seem soft.

i think she'll haul the mail, keep us posted. ;)!, oh and what does MS weigh?

well stock they are only geared for 111'ish so guessing that with port work he has maybe increased your finish rpm by 200 or so you would maybe see the mid-teens with that gearing IMO.

I would sure hope to see the mid-teens this year. I cannot have Bruce at CB making fun of me

With the rip-saw track, I am not expecting to be in the 120's, but very close to it.

humm thats interesting, i also have don's port job done on mine (very very pleased with his work and ALL the advice hes giving me btw lol im harrsing him with questions!) and im still working on getting my heelclickers adjusted to perfection, im close but theres still some more to be gained. I never asked Don about that but im still shooting for 8400 max rpm, should i shout for more?

that should tell you all you need to know, skidoo slayer I could see 113 on ice if you went into over-rev on ice in a really long pull but do the math, the gearing does not lie, I just cannot buy people saying that they are in the high teens to 120's with stock gearing and stock rpm, it is not possible.

Stock they are supposed to rev at 8450, you would have to ask Don about the finish rpm but I would think it will be breathing quite a bit better than stock and will probably build torque and hp for a couple hundred more r's. With stock gearing in the sled it is not possible for the 120 mark, that is in no way a knock on Mr.Vipers work it is just simple math on the gearing, the numbers dont lie.

at 8400 rpms, stock gearing 23/37, on my 98 srx with added base gaskets and 30 thou shaved off the heads i was hitting 118 mph on gps. 3/4 inch track, 192 one inch studs, heel clickers in the primary, 48/40 advantedge helix and green spring in secondary. that was my setup when i pulled those numbers. so from my experience i will say that mph numbers in the high teens are possible with stock gearing and rpms.

I shouldn't be too far off from that.

Maybe I can get one of the guys on the TY ride to lend me their GPS on a quick run. It doesnt sound like I am wishful thinking. Good realistic numbers you have there snowrules
