All this talk about gas mileage has just got me curious.... What do all of you running 700 red heads get for mileage, stock OR piped???
about 9 mpg with SLP triples. With the single pipe I would get around 13.

I am getting about 10 as well with Aaen with an over rev. I have now fixed the over rev and mileage may improve just slightly

10-11 Sure seems like the magic numbers for these sleds after they've been piped. And I'm not complaining one bit...10-11mpg on a triple piped 700 sled...I can live with that for sure. I'll be out riding with buddies of mine that get at times the same or worse mileage on their STOCK 600 and 700 twins
haa if I was getting 10 on the old 600 twin XT, I was doin good!!

I get like 9 but that's really ragging on it pretty hard. I also don't have it jetted perfect yet either but it's close. Going to be dead on very soon.
12 mpg on the trails with Power Inc rear dump triples and Dial a Jets.

13 mpg average, maybe 14 taking it easy on the hard pack.Single pipe,clutched, jetted and geared per Turks recommendations with a 136" track.
10 to 11 mpg on my slp piped setup

just like the old XCR/ xlt600s with a single pipe, they get 13+ mpg, but throw triple pipes on and you drop down to 9-10mpg.
A friend had an XTC700 trip stock, and it got about the same mpg as the 96 XCR i had at the time- 13 or so...

i get 10 nomatter how i ride so i just keep it wfo.
My son and I filled up in Sand Lake, just north of cedar springs on tuesday night and rode to Clare. He is 7 so he was on the sled with me. I used less than 6 gallons to get there averaging 50 or so. I only really got on it a few times. It was roughly 110 miles one way. I have a 2001 SX700R. That works out to about 17 mpg's.
Rode my newly geared Triple piped Sxr700 between Christmas and New Years with friends and went 100 miles on just over 1/2 tank of gas. Like Joe.snow said only jumped on it a couple of times, seems like mid teens to me!? T
Hey Bandit where in MI are you? I am in ADA. Always looking to ride(sled running right allowing).

SxrBandit... what are you running for pipes and gearing? Mid teens is incredible for a PIPED 700
