I've got two other sleds that are completely different rides than this but here goes...
I've got a 1999 Vmax 600 triple deluxe and it seems to be one of the most powerful sleds I've ridden. It's loud, and when you goose it, the track breaks free and the tail end can slide. Great fun in the woods. The skis track true and I've got them shimmed. The sled is amazing but I'm finding it hard to plant the power. Do these things always break loose when you romp it?
Also, at a slow speed there's a rhythmic thump...it's not the drive belt, I thought I'd flattened it in one spot by the thump, but that's not it.
It seems to go away after about ten MPH and the things runs awesome. It's studded and I wondered if they were hitting, but I don't think so.
Any thoughts? I'm not familiar with how to adjust the suspension, if that's what I need to hook up...but I'm sure I can find someone local who is.
Any help is appreciated.
