Absolutely 100% yes! That is a very nice little H.P. upgrade.....some sources say the mod is worth up to 5hp.
I've had my 01' 700 since I ordered it during Yamaha's Power surge of 2000... I had thin head gaskets, reed spacers, and clutch kit in it in November of that year with 0.6 miles on the sled!!
