i just realized that there was a dynoport racing silencer can on the sled i bought and i am wondering if it actually makes any hp , this silencer is on a 1997 vmax 700sx.
I had one for about 5 years on my xt700. I liked the sound, but didn't really notice any hp inprovement. I had to take it off due to NH exhaust rules(i got a ticket last year).
does it require special jetting or ?
I never changed my jetting, and had no problems.

my 2cents is take the can off and put some quite triple pipes on. You will notice the hp gaines it wakes up about 30 horse
I mostly ran my dynoport for the sound. I love the way it sounded! MEAN!

It's definately loud. I have one I'm selling because of that. It would be great for lake racing.
