lol...I'll take the chance with the loctite. They're easy to remove and I'll pin if needed. I know I'll be checking them in about a few hundred K's anyway.

I think it's interesting about the 262 (RED) loctite didn't hold too. Heck they had that stuff all over my Expert X and I had to heat the bolts and shafts up to the point of red hot on the bolts and still use a 1/2" impact gun to get those bolts backed off lol. I guess the valves are subject to very high heat too and the motor will shake like crazy. I always thought if you were going to use red loctite you might aswell go ahead and weld the bolts in there. Even if the loctite did hold I guess the roll pin would be good insurance.

Well I have three types of loctite, one for small fasteners, one for removable and one that says permanent...That's the one I used so theoretically it should hold, but then again I was married twice and at the start they were supposed to be permanent too,lol...

So when you install the bolt, does the power valve get longer. I mean did you have to cut off the valve to compensate for the bolt head??? I tried to read all the post, but I might have missed it...LOL

Yes you have to cut the valve off where it tapers down to 1/2" diameter. A 5/16" thread bolt head is the same thickness as the amount you will cut off, double check with a caliper though.

Thanks again daman, I used 262 loctite and the proper high temp high strength loctite is 2045 driloc.
