Hey guys.... umm, what does you srx get for MPG?

Hey guys,

I was just thinking..... How does your srx do on fuel? On my last trip I was getting like 6-7 MPG with my 157.5 and 45 jets. I stepped it down to 155 due to it running quite rich. All my mods are in my signature, I know after I added the pipe it went down BIG time! But how much. I had it ported, minor clutch work, and heads done a while back at Iantomasi. Jer put in 152's, and kept the 42.5's in. I can't remember what it was getting for MPG before the pipes, All I know is this things sucks on gas now! But then again I am throttle happy all the time. I just loved the sound of these pipes, That I felt the need to play with the throttle alot. Also the packing in the silencers are gone for a shit, I really don't want to fix it but where would I go?

I was gettting probably 14-16 on my trip in the UP and I was on and off the throttle alot. I can't remember my jetting though but I'm pretty stock except for the bender cold air/powder kit.
 
Yeah, I was looking at some old write ups i did on my srx tune up sook. I was getting 13-14 MPG!!!!!! WTF happened??????????? I know on that trip I was running pretty rich, But I think after I clutch it (No over rev) And jet it down to a 155, I might be lucky to get 10 MPG. but thats better than the 6-7 MAX I am getting now!!!
 
My 600 gets about 10 to 11.5 mpg with the stuff I have done....Carbs are stock but the fuel screws are at 2 turns. I have gotten 12.5 mpg but not this year!! I think that it is normal for a 600 anyone ever get better then that?

I would like that. But My trailer was recently stolen, And I am still waiting for my trailing arm in the mail!!!!!!! BVut hey If I get her done before all the ice is gone I will PM you once shes all done. I think within the next two weeks for sure! Where are you in simcoe? And what ice do you ride on?

I am a rookie at clutch tuning, I am trying to work on that right now too!
 
I am assuming you all have stock to little mods on your sleds? Anyone have a modified sled like mine?
 
Lake simcoe i thought after that you might think the town.lol i dont know if they have any ice there.400 and 9 area is were i mean.You will need lotsssssssssss of gas.
 
Nope your about the only guy i have heard of that has a sled in hamyton.We run up the river up here there is to mutch snow on the lake for good speed.

Really, the only guy? LOL Boy I feel special now!

But Yeah i havent seen many if any member here from hamilton. Yeah too much snow is not good for speed. What have you got done to your sled?
 
you run 87 in your sled? They came from the factory with a sticker that says "Use premium gasoline only" LOL

But yeah, you engine should run pretty good. I have a little more mods than you.
 
When it ends up that you burn more gas then what your sled is worth,time to dunk it in the river.LOL
But I am guessing I get from 10 -12 mpg also,but have never run tank dry to find out.For that reason alone I wouldn't run long hauls with my bud and his doo friends.They fill up with regular and I can't get premium in lot of those gas stations along the way.But give me a 4-stroke and I'll be happy to ride all day.
 
I also have 30000 km on this ride and when i go up north and fill up with so called premiun and get reg for the same price i will be passing you on the side of the trail.But i would stop dont worry.
