LMAO! They didn't spend much time on it at all. They spent maybe a day or two MAX working on it. They prefer all out drag sleds, But for a ported engine mine runs pretty good!

i get the same as my buddies 05 RX1 and 06 Apex RTX ( actually i get better mileage then the 06). when we went to the Sault a couple of weeks ago i filled with Premium and i always ended up paying the same as he did with regular. i always used a few litres less each fill up. his is still fairly new so i'm sure he it will get better. if i had to guess i would say at least 15 mipg on fuel and 1-litre of oil every 400KM and she has 20000km and still pulls like a freight train, motors all stock with heel clickers and down one tooth on the top gear. my buddies can't catch me on smooth tight twisty trails. different story on the rougher ones thou.

i believe 152's but i can't remember off hand i run a variflow so i never have to mess around with that. i would have to do some checking before i told you right off hand what i was running for jets. my sled has always been a pig on fuel. my buddys 800 twins and my sled get around the same mileage though.

last weekend in maine running between 40 and 55. no hard pulls very easy and steady 13.8 on stock 2000 srx jetting. fuel scews at 1/4. it was a cold day maybe 15 degrees. groomed new loose snow. 7.5 gal at 104 miles... the 99 srx, my 2000 and the 98 srx 600 were all about the same. the 98 and 99 have bender kits. I was using a w/w/w and rx1 helix wrapped at 60 on the red spring. stock weight. I'm going to add the 4.5g and try it again. two two in maine I was getting 12 but that was in snow (very loose no groomer) and long runs at 70. ....
Now I went to quebec and did 1850 fast miles in very snowy conditions in 7 days. averaged 9 but I stuck the power valves and broke all cables so that tanked the milage. 10% ethanol is everywhere and it trashes the milage.
now if you getting 10-12 and you thinking I needed a fourstroke..think again....beat a fourstock and the milage drops....if you get 11 and your budy 4 stroke is getting 15 and its 3.50 a gallon....how much will save after you sell your sled and buy the new one. its gonna be a lot of milage.....
I explain. Rider A (me) is on his trusty fast cool srx. rider (B) is on a four stroke. we both go 2000 miles.... 10mpg I burn 200 gals. (sorry greenies) and B who is trying to keep up and on it all the time gets 15 (15 mpg 2000 miles =133 gallons
so 133 gallons at 3.50 gallon= 465.00 and I spent 700.00......difference = 235.0 dollars
whats an srx worth 2k maybe 2500 and a good used 4 stroke....(good, not molested) and I have been shopping so looks like 4 to 5k....lets say you find one for 4k and sell that srx for 2k so you spent 2k....to save 235.00 dollars next season.....
umm....doesn't added up.....I'll be on an srx for awhile....plus when you have a sled that stock will run a 660 at 95-101mph with some clutch and suspesion work...its still fast!
We are lucky to have or srx's...its was the best money could by when they were new and 10 years after its introduction it still remains a top dog!
Rock On!

Well with jetting/mods you should be getting ATLEAST 10-12 MPG. You must be a throttle junky like me! LOL
