When the economy of a major country goes in the toilet,Gov. goes broke. They have to find a way to make $$$.People are not spending their money anymore and just hanging on to it.Gov is now rushing to get a chip manufactured to be inserted in either a person's right hand or forehead. It is the size of a dot. They will entice and persuade you that this is best for all to do.You will be able to buy and sell with the use of this chip.Yourbody is now the credit card.Your wages from work will go automatically into you account thru this chip.It will monitor if your are plus or minus in your account. No more thieft of your funds.Seems sensable and logical. If you decide to refuse this chip, you will not be able to work, buy or sell. You will simply starve and die.As Gov needs more money, they can program this chip to make you go buy more, thus more $$ for the Gov.Once 1 country starts this, others will follow.(G6 countries)Once control is there they call that the Mark of the Beast. It is forbidden to have this kind of control over humans, except it will be the Anti-Christ who has the control now.Humans are told to refuse this in the Bible, but then your head will be cut off.In other words you will be killed since you would be of no use to the Gov.But refusing is the way to get into the Kingdom of God(Heaven),but most will not fight it...material things and Greed take over.
Just type in Mark of the Beast and all kind of information can be found along with the Bible telling the same story and warns of this.
Bible Study,I don't know.My stepson is in Wisconsin at Bible College and when he comes back to visit I will talk to him about this in depth.

And all the doubters of global warming should really start to wake up pretty soon. It is not SPECULATION anymore people, it is reality. Isn't very tough to make accurate temperature measurements and average them. Global temps are rising the fastest that they ever have in history. CO2 levels in the atmosphere are the highest they have been in 30 MILLION YEARS. How do they know all this? Ice core samples. By measuring the content of the different gases trapped in the ice it is fairly easy to determine the levels of gases that were in the atmosphere thousands of years ago. And just to put this to rest in a real hurry: one season does virtually NOTHING for swaying averages. ESPECIALLY if that one cold season is in a fairly isolated region. You think the whole world was colder this winter? We live in the midwest, so that is what we see. You can't make inferences on the whole world by watching the climatic patterns in one region. Global temperatures are rising. CO2 is the highest it has ever been since man have been on this earth and still rising. (Right now we are at around 3 times the CO2 levels in the atmosphere we were at 250 years ago) Petroleum is made from two basic things: carbon and hydrogen. When ANY petroleum is combusted, what are the products of a stoichiometric burn? CO2 and water. So why would it not make sense that almost 1/2 of the world's petroleum reserves are depleted and the CO2 levels are higher than ever? Not to mention that the world's forests are being cut at a rate of the size of one soccer field EVERY OTHER SECOND. So what is absorbing all that new CO2 being introduced into the atmosphere? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is real people.
Real, according to the Goreacle... I won't dispute that temps are on the rise, but I won't drink the man-made GW kool-aid. Perhaps you're too young to remember the predicted doom and gloom of the impending ice age back in the 1970's.
Step away from the Weather Channel and Hydie the "climate expert" and read some other theorys about the sun and water vapor. After all, they are ALL theories.

Nothing like a good global warming debate to stir things up on the TY forums.
So much of it depends on which study you read and who wrote it. A couple af things I'm fairly confident in. 1) Since the end of the last ice age 12000 years ago (give or take a 1000) the planet has been getting warmer. If not a large amount of North America would be a Glacier. Might make for some great sledding). 2) One volcano doing its thing puts a pile of stuff into the air. Way more than my car is ever going to produce.
I'm all for helping the environment and conserving resources, but the planet is going to keep on keeping on. Like was said earlier, if we all suddenly disappear it won't be long(in planet time) before there isn't any trace of us being here.
Why was the northern half of the planet covered in ice again?? Here's a fairly quick read of all things ice age. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age
This is a conversation that good go on forever.

To take a reverse look at it, I bet the car dealers cant even give away a new 4WD truck SUV or new diesel.
Yep our dealer(Chevy) saw a major drop in truck/suv sales last month and nothing has changed for this month. Thats why Im glad I work in the dept(Parts) I do because now people are spending money on repairs VS. a new vehicle wether it a car or truck. I caught the news last night and GM is "suppose" to cut one shift from about 4-5 plants.

Sounds like it is going to get pretty tough for the dealers. My truck was driven in January to go riding in the U.P. and has been parked since. Only time it will get used again is if I use it in Jan 2009 to go up to UP riding.

WOW!!!
You can get one hell of a education from TY in a minute. I'm not saying this overpopulated planet isn't self-distructing itself, but come on our climate and the earths surface is going to change no matter what we do to it. I think it just gives Al Gore something to blow steam up our asses about.

did anyone hear about E85????? They say it produces TWICE THE CARBON FOOTPRINT than GASOLINE DOES!!! They say it is the BIGGEST JOKE of them all!!!!!

Gary,
I never hear anything about E-85. It must not be too good of a thing. Not even sure if I would run it in my lawn mower now that you said that. I have yet to see a pump that offers E-85. Must be a bad investment.

I dont understand what I just read but E85 is rated at 100 octane???
Depending on composition and source, E85 has an octane rating of 100 - 105 compared to regular gasoline's typical rating of 87 - 93. This allows it to be used in higher compression engines which tend to produce more power per unit of displacement than their gasoline counterparts. Since the reciprocating mass of the engine increases in proportion to the displacement of the engine E85 has a higher potential efficiency for an engine of equal power. One complication is that use of gasoline in an engine with a high enough compression ratio to use E85 efficiently would likely result in catastrophic failure due to engine detonation, as the octane rating of gasoline is not high enough to withstand the greater compression ratios in use in an engine specifically designed to run on E85. Use of E85 in an engine designed specifically for gasoline would result in a loss of the potential efficiency that it is possible to gain with this fuel. Using E85 in a gasoline engine has the drawback of achieving lower fuel economy as more fuel is needed per unit air (stoichiometric fuel ratio) to run the engine in comparison with gasoline. E85 also has a lower heating value (units of energy per unit mass) than gasoline leading to a reduction in power output in a gasoline engine. E85 consumes more fuel in flex fuel type vehicles when the vehicle uses the same fuel/air mixture and compression for both E85 and gasoline because of its lower stoichiometric fuel ratio and lower heating value. European car maker Saab currently produces a flex fuel version of their 9-5 sedan which consumes the same amount of fuel whether running e85 or gasoline[5], unfortunately this model is not available in the United States. So in order to save money at the pump with current flex fuel vehicles available in the United States the price of E85 must be much lower than gasoline. Currently E85 is about 5-10% less expensive in most areas.[6] More than 20 fueling stations across the Midwest are selling E85 25%-40% cheaper than gasoline.[7] E85 also gets less MPG, at least in flex fuel vehicles. In one test, a Chevy Tahoe flex-fuel vehicle averaged 18 MPG [U.S. gallons] for gasoline, and 13 MPG for E85, or 28% fewer MPG than gasoline. In that test, the cost of gas averaged $3.42, while the cost for E85 averaged $3.09, or 90% the cost of gasoline

A lot of guys are changing over at the dragstrip because E85 needs HIGHER COMPRESSION than regular gasoline and you can jam TWICE AS MUCH E85 than you can racegas!!!! Yes, its 3-4.00 a gallon..but VP is 12.00 a gallon!!!!!

I wonder how much fatter jets you would need to run this in your sled and make the same power.
Also being that you have a race only motor with tons of compression. Yea it would be alot cheaper that AV gas but have to jet if alot fatter.

Here's an update on our gas prices. In the US you guys are getting a bargin. Our price hit $1.30 a liter which equals about $5.90 a gallon for regular.Premimum is about $6.35 a gallon. It is not over yet. Talk of $2.00 a litre by 2009.
I don't think you'd be able to run it with such cold temps.....I think theres problems,,,but,,,, MAYBE NOT?????

Ah!!!! Looks like gas prices will be going up again.Around us it is 1.339 to 1.389 a litre.Getting bad and it is not over yet.
3.69 per gallon here in michigan

that would be at $4.42 for you guys if your gallon was the same size as ours. You are still $1.48 cheaper then.We are being taxed heavy by our Canadian Government on ours.Man the Oil Sheiks of the world can now build much larger Palaces with the extra they are bringing in.And have floors, walls and ceiling's made out of solid Gold yet.WOW!!! Must be nice while a vast number of people in this world starve and are homeless and war striken.
