Heavy hitter cam arm 48? right

get back to me mopar.....

going insane with this....

My dealer said, once you clutch a sled..... your constantly messing with it... if thats the case then F*$K that idea.

this is the page with the proper fett bros stuff: the black spring should come with it. don't mess with those accelerator kits.

my buddy never has to f#% with this hi-tech setup. this is the phone # for the guy that i deal with for these er kits (920-682-3030-karbon's motorsports). his name is dan. tell him the sled you have and ask questions. he will answer all of them. he knows his stuff. tell him josh referred you. call him now and let me know how the conversation goes. he might be at lunch now and might not be. karbon's is located in wisconsin here about 10 miles from where i live. i could easily setup your clutches. this karbon guy would set up both clutches for free, especially if you order everything thru him.

I love that someone is going to set up your clutchs without your sled being present. Sorry man but all sleds are diff even if its the same make and model, they can take to mod differently. From the sound of your lack of experience and your patience level, sure seems to me like you should just leave the thing alone and ride it.

talked to dan, he likes to talk alot about the E.R. From what it sounds i'll be payng hima visit in the fall and hes putting an E.R. kit on hold for me, and hes going to put a 50/46 helix cut angle on the e.r. for me.....

it was a 53 minute phone call.....

yep, he'll talk your ear off. but in a good way. no bs. just a straight shooter. you could just take your sled there and have him install it and set it up. did you ask him about his drag race where he gained 11mph with putting the er on?

hey ExpertXViper, I understand that each sled takes different to the same mods. what i meant by setting up clutches was that I would set up his primary (installing spring, weights, etc.) and install the er roller onto the secondary. the only thing Yamidude59 would have to do is adjust the "hat" on the secondary, which adjusts the spring preload (he can dial in his backshift). I've set up 2 vipers with the exact same clutch setup and didn't see more than a 50rpm difference, if any, between the 2, so the setup that I would do that works on one, would more than likely be near spot on for Yamidude59. I still understand what you are saying though. would be better to have the sled at hand....i agree. just seemed easier at the time to tell him to send me his clutches. Yamidude59, dan said he's got 4 er's coming....correct. 2 of them I'm already taking, and if you're taking another 1, he'll only have 1 left. If I can convince another buddy of mine to get 1, then he'll have all of them sold already, before he even gets them in stock. cool:)

Yamidude59, did dan say he would set it up for you? did he seem informative. also, for a primary clutch setup, you could use stock primary spring, and just run some 10-56 polaris weights. the tip needs to be ground down some, but big deal. you would need to purchase a straightline weight pin conversion kit, but that only costs $35. weights are $45. you can get both from parts unlimited.

Mopar, He emphasized on keeping the primary clutch stock.... didn't go into the primary much more then that.... basically said i could put the E.R. in and drive with it how it is........ however he was saying he has guys custom cut helix's and he reccomends a 50/46 helix, which is what he'd put in on my secondary........ he said he will be getting 4 E.R. kits in later that year, he emailed me pics, and he told me to e-mail him back my phone, address, and my name and he'll call me when their in, hes setting one aside for me......

He did seem very informative.... he said there was NO negatives to the E.R. kit, and i hope hes right...... hes making it sound like a very good kit, for 350.00 it better be haha..... He did also mention 11mph gain.....he pretty much gave me a history speech on how hes been with hi tech since the beginning..... seems legit........

I mean...... if he says keep the primary clutch stock, then keep it stock eh? Also will be getting carbontech reeds and keeping the stock boots or whatever, can't remember......

Basically was talking all technical about the system in ways i could not understand lol.

My guess is he would set it up for me.

I know what you saying most of the guys that say do this and do that don't have a clue there just copying other people's set ups that where posted over the years. That's why many of the original guys that know there stuff you hardly see posting any more there starting to get fed up.Trying doing a search. 800 know's his stuff but do a search and you will find many.
If you want to blow the 8dn set up away if you not concerned about money pm me I have a couple diffenent set ups with aftermarket weights that crush 8dn weights.

i know...8dn's aren't that great. don't seem to "hit" hard enough. i've had better results using polaris weights, or better yet the heavy hitters......then you have adjustablility.

yammidude59, did dan tell you to get the carbon tech's, or did you just decide to do that myself. cause he likes running delta's and i like to run the carbon techs. i told about the carbon techs. also, i would play w/the primary too. pm pro116, he'll have some killer setups as well.

mopar, he told me about the carbon techs...... mopar, i mainly do trail riding and like the top end speed and good acceleration too, i already have good accel and top end, but he was saying that the E.r. kit will get me better accel, mid, and top end.... he said keep the primary completely stock...... so maybe i'll do primary clutch work at a later date..... maybe never if i like this set up....... i'm set on the E.r kit, but i don't know about the reeds.... dont you have to rejet alot if the temp varries?

you will never have to touch the jetting at all for the carbon tech petals. stock jetting will be fine. i guess that's true about the primary.....leave it alone at first to see if its good enough for you. then play w/primary if you are still itching for more. most likely you'll itch for more:)
