Reverse on my SRX

naw, mine only has 1 nut on it, which is obviously the problem, as there's no way to lock this one in place.... sheesh... I guess I need to look for another cable

i bet you could just glue it in there with some good glue as long as you got just a bit of tension on lever the cable shouldnt come out once glued..zip tied,,caulk,or some epoxy puddy ? .......i havent had that problem with mine ..and now i am wondering if mine has 2 nuts or one ..i honestly cant remember ill have to look ...cause i dont think you can take them off or put more on .... i am just wondering if the cable has too much cable comming out of the end causing the cable to come out?? ....almost like bracket needs to be a hair longer ....?? also you mentioned you zip tied the cable in did you try just letting it hang loose ? so the when reverse is off it can distribute the 1/2 of slack over the whole cable ..instead if the last few inches that the cable isnt tied tight to something .......kinda hard to explain hope you understand what i mean ....just fine tunning it now ia all ...dont give up you got this far

well I did leave it loose, but that allowed too much play in the cable itself, and it would lose its engagement in the holder.

Its sooo dam tight in there, I had to heat and bend a cheap 10MM wrench to tighten the one nut.

I am going to try some epoxy, or maybe I can melt some solder on the thread to prevent it from working itself loose.

Your're right, dont need a ton of pressure, just enough to keep it in place....

Yeah, I slept on it, and Im not giving up just yet...LOL

I love taking my pipes off 15 times in a row, doesnt everyone?

So "operation hold that god-dam nut in place" is in effect, but the wife is not to keen on more night(s) in the shed, so maybe mid week..LOL

Its still cruises in forward so.....lol
