Just wondering how many ponys is the pealed head gasket mod worth for the 01 sxr700. Is a rejet required??
The 01 already has the tighter combustion chamber...i.e. higher compression.
Peeling the gasket alone is not going to give you any noticable difference.
higher compression doesnt require more fuel/oil. just a higher octane to prevent detonation.

Theres no steel head gaskets to peel(O-rings) on a SRX and the b gasket is only one layer, so I dont know where youd get confused.

Not much i would say maybe 2-3 if that, I could be wrong though.
None to speak of. Makes it crisper, and requires premium fuel. It might make for a horse or three, but nothing that's going to make you go wow!!

you have to do more then just peel the gasket to feel a difference....peel gasket, reed spacers, bored silencer and clutch the thing.....now you will feel a big difference.
