They do make power a few hp on the dyno. However, they do tend to crack and chip frequently in the SRX's. Reed spacers do help for this, and I don't mean the thin spacers that come with the V-Force 3's, but thicker ones.
I find that the V-Force in trail applications are more of a headache than anything, and you will be changing pedals on a regular basis.
For any motors that make 175hp or less, the stock reeds are more than adequate. When you start to build engines that require more flow to build more than that hp, the stock reeds start to flutter, and aftermarket reeds are the only solution.
