Many thanks
^^^^^ what they all said. Definitely an invaluable source for info... I know when I got it, my sled was running 59mph in 660' (I know, the guy even laughed at me "whats wrong with it?"), and after some setups from here ran a more respectable 79mph... still some tweak mods to do, and I think it's even better since that last run.
Also, whoever posted the Carb Cleaning with pics and all... that is printed in high quality and in my toolbox... saved my butt last year.
Awesome stuff, guys.

Turk helped me with a like new (used) 02MM700 I bought some 5 years ago... I think the sled must have been set up for grass drags since I remember pulling 141 main jets out of the carbs... He helped me with widening the front suspension, clutching, gearing, and jetting... To date, I can't bring myself to buy a new sled since this one just simply never disappoints me.... Thanks again for the help!... tj

He has saved all who have read his posts, or pm'ed him, countless hours of tuning. I can't wait for his XTX setup!

Even my ski-doo buddies know the legend of Turk. When I tell them I am running a new setup, they always say 'you get that from Turk'? : )

big thanks to turk. he pointed me to vmaxjhon's 500cc set-up in the tec pages witch he helped jhon to do. bang on for my 500 and best bang for the buck. helped my brother on the old board set up his viper with heel clickers and kept helping him when he could not keep the rpm's consistant with the can. turk is awsome and if i ever meet him i owe him at least one beer.
Thanks Turk.
I can't believe how much time this gentleman has spent over the years helping others and testing new stuff.
I just received a package in the mail today from him, containing main/pilot jets he wasn't using anymore. He didn't want anything in exchange even after I offered him. You don't see someone nice like that everyday.

I think without the guidance Turk has given, even if only by association and others questions/answers, I would not have had the guts to pull clutches apart and replace what ever needed replacing.
I also think that Turk is very bad for new Yamaha sales... Well in that we are all keeping these perfectly running sleds so long most of us don't feel the need or want to upgrade to something new. Thanks Turk you have saved me thousands on not buying a new sled. Ever...

I can honestly say if it wasn't for Turk and guys like him on this site, I would neven have felt comfortable tuning a clutch. He's helped me out with rush parts when I needed them and given tone of advice. Speeking of which, I should see what he'd tweek on my current setup...
Thanks Turk! As Bender said, wish you were closer so we could go for beers!

I bought my 01 SX700R in the fall of 2001, and immediately joined TY to find out as much as I could about this new sled. Turk was very helpful in helping me get my sxr dialed in, as were a lot ofothers, but Turk is the man. My last ride on that sled was Feb of 04, then went to Doo, then Poo, I stop in here as much as possible just to keep up on the current stuff, will be spending some seat time on an xtx this season, looking forward to it.
