Has anybody dyno'd their viper with SRX stock pipes? I am just wondering if it brings it up to the SRX stock hp and torque range.

i would think a viper engine with srx pipes would make a little more power than an srx because the viper has a bit more port timing and more ign timing advance. but hey only a dyno could tell.

never done a dyno would love too, Il look into it
They would make some power, but not more than an srx would. Regardless of how much more timing and ignition advance it has. Only b.c the pipes aren't tuned to a viper. You know how much tuning and testing it takes to build a set of pipes? Yeah the srx pipes are GREAT, But only on the srx. Don't get me wrong they would make reasonable, power, But nothing like a set of bender's, Hauck, CRP, Ect would. Dyno it and prove me wrong, I would love to see it too!

the viper is the same bore, stroke has more timing and more agressive porting in 2 cylinders. they are basically the same engine except the viper is more "strung out" so ya i think they would make the same or more power.

Thats what i was thinking, could be wrong. Arent pipes designed based on bore and stroke?Ya think it would make more power with better porting. Shure wish someone would dyno it and find out for real.

There are some differences, that could alter the HP number. A major one being that the SRX pipes are tuned for a SRX 700.

there is very very little difference between the 2 engines, same size carbs, same cylinder design, same case design, crank and pv is the only real differences

I would really like to see it. Hell it's a great alternative to after market pipes! Especially if it makes good numbers!

mrviper might be able to shed some info.
anybody know a dyno shop in ottawa area who is willing to do sleds. I found a harly dealer in ottawa who has a Dynojet Dynamometer can this be used and how is it done.
but I will put my money on the viper.
Can some one post the stock srx readout

How much tweaking is it to put a set of SRX pipes on a Viper? I am thinkin triple pipes for my Viper, a set of SRX pipes would be nicer on the wallet than the SLPs i am lookin at, lol. If I get a set installed I could take my sled down to DynoTech and run it for some numbers (stock pipe vs SRX). I'd like to help out.

depends on how hands on you are, if you do a search on here you should be able to find all the required info, if you have any other questions feel free to ask

Concept Carbon, why don't you drive over and see Greg at Jaws. They are in Ottawa, and he will dyno it there. They have a very nice superflo dyno.

I guess my wifes race logic ported 98 and my mrviper 780 can't make anymore power than when they were stock because they still have stock srx pipes. damn that sucks what a waste of money.lol
