What about these? They'll have "faint blue tint" And they aren't wrapped in blue tint.

I just installed an X-bulb from Bluhm Enterprises http://www.bluhmenterprises.com/products/moto-brite-lites.php?pn_category_id=63 It has a blueish tint to it.
But of course we hardly have any snow so I havent been riding yet, so i guess I am of no help.

LMK how they work if you get some snow. I noticed they use 100/55 watts. Stock is 60/55w, I've heard of light electrical melting B/c of the extra wattage.
i have the first ones you showed off ebay ....dont waste your money yes they are blue but i didnt like them harder to see didnt seem as bright even know they were more watts than stock .....i am thinking about the sliver stars ....i still have them somewere if you want ill send you one just cover shipping ...

anyone ever try using real hids? like the ones in the high end cars? u can buy em on www.xenonlink.com i figured i could just buy the motorcycle kit and it would be sweet. i have em in my ranger (10000k) and they work awesome. the only thing i was worried about is the starting up because they use like 70watts when they fire up but once they are fired they only use 35watts. didnt know if anyone had tried em in a sled? i was worried wether or not i had the 70 watts to spare at startup or they wont fire and wont work. they have the blue tint and are extremely bright.
There have been a couple threads on this in the past. I think the surge is the issue if you are not running a sled with a battery.
IF YOU WHANT TO SEE WERE YOUR GOING ? GET SILVERSTARS. if you think you whant to look COOOOL get some other stuff . i run TRUE hid . 4300k . before that . sivlerstar AND I HAVE TRYED MANY DIFF> KINDS . SIVERSTAR ULTRA

I have that brand in my F-250 both driving and fog and also in my Grizzly and I think they work fine. Especially for the price. They do have a blue tint but cut through the haze better than stockers. The silverstar ultra's are my personal favorites but were not available for my Ford application when I got these.98700 said:

Give up on HID unless you have a dual headlight sled. Then maybe you can pull it off it you add a battery. Research HIR bulb you might have more luck. If you want to waste time seach my username and you'll see years worth of fruitless experments with real HIDs.
