FINALLY the winter we've waited for???

OH YEAH.................... Well we got 2" yesterday, and then it rain from 8AM until this afternoon!!!! So The 2" of snow was replaced with 2+" of RAIN!
 

we have the same amount of snow vmax4rules has there in that pic. they are calling for a snow/rain mix on monday then the temps are supposed to drop into the teens on tuesday and stay there for a while, which i guess is a good and bad thing.. bad on the day it happens depending on how much rain/snow mix we get, on the other hand it will freeze the groomed trails down the next day and make it a nice solid base!
 
don't know where that 40 degrees is coming from... 25friday, 20saturday, 28sunday, 40 monday! then down to the teens. hmmm.
 
You guys are lucky that is the winter we had last year here in northern new brunswick ,this year it`s all about the freezing rain crap and it`s doing that as we speak,thay say that we will get this type of weather for the whole month of jan.
 
I just got back from Canadian Forces Basic Training (CFLRS) in Saint Jean, QC yesterday for some christmas leave... and I almost wet myself when I got home! This is near Owen Sound, ON. Hoping i'll have time to take the SRX for a spin down the roads and across the field today.

Yeah, Owen Sound took the brunt of that storm we had early in the week

I was weatching the radar, and the whole day it was at the 2cm/hour mark...My folks live in OS, and they're sick of the snow...LOL
 
GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!

Poured rain all night and still raining as i type this update.

I am furious right now, all the snow we had has essentially disappeared!!!! What a start we had, and now almost back to square 1....+6 right now, dropping to -5 by afternoon, -15 overnight but NO PRECIP in the long term forecast

Im so mad right now...I could spit acid

Almost the same here. It rained and got warm, like low 40s, and it did not cool down below freezing at night. A lot of what we had is gone. We do have 3-5 inches on tap for Tuesday I think , and more light snow is on it's way. Now it is very cold, it was 3 degrees this morning. So we have a lot of ice from the melted snow and rain.

It did not even do that. It was like 40 on Saturday, and 40 on Sunday with rain, and then it dropped like 35 degrees and is now really cold.

Oh well, at least up north WI it did not quite get as warm, and even snowed a little last night.

Trails down here are almost a waste to ride on, even when there is enough snow. That is why we have all 4 of our sleds up north. No trailering:)
 
2-4 inches coming between tuesday and wednesday.... Most of the snow melted... Piss. right now at 1:15 am its -1 deg. F. without windchill. Pretty cold.
 
At 8am it warmed up to Zero.

I hear 3-5 inches in the afternoon until Wednesday AM. More is on its way, and there is no warm up past 30 degrees for the next few days.

As far as Rhinelander/ Tomahawk conditions, they are supposedly going to groom, and then open on the 17th. I am already planning a new years eve snowmobiling trip.
 
Well we got about 4-6 inches of the fluffy stuff, which really doesn' help out trails. but its snow none the less and i'm optimistc. Fridays forecast shows more snow with 8-11 inches coming throughout the day. hopefully its heavier snow.
 
Well here in Ottawa, we had about 1.5ft, maybe a little more, then we had a good Melt here on Monday, it was +8 and rain, we probably lost 8inches or so, but we still have a good amount of snow on the ground, and if anything the rain we got, will help make some ice on the lakes....and also make the snow harder, which makes a good base.

Today we are getting some snow, I think they are calling for 5-10cm (2-4"), and the Forecast is calling for a few more inches in the next week, which might add up to 8-10" Total....So looking good so far here.....
 
Updated forcast shows about 8-12 inches coming thursday and friday, then more snow on saturday night and sunday morning, they didn't say the total yet, but said moderate snow accumlation for sat and sunday.

FREEZING cold here now (and wuill be for remainder of week)...not too much snow in immediate forcast, but ICE is what I want now so....keep the -20 weather I say

We had our weeks of very cold temps, with only a day or so of above fereezing temps, followed by very cold weather again. Our ice is perfect. LET IT SNOW!!!

Hopefully a decent storm drops up North, I am planning my first trip of the year for new years 31st-4th of january. If conditions are good, I should be able to rack up at least 5-600 miles.
 
lol, should be able to put those miles in on one day up north.

however, i'm not getting my hopes up for the snow they say is coming, i'll wait and see what actually comes, they have changed the snow totals 3 different times. first it was 10-12 inches, then 8-12, now its 7-9..... so if its between 7-12 inches i'm happy.
 
WOOOHOO! We got about 5-10CM yesterday Morning, and we're expecting up to 50CM by SUnday night!!!!!!!!!!!! ABOUT TIME!
