Blue dash lights on a srx

If I wanted to put blue bulbs in the guages of my SRX can I but these at an auto parts store? If so what do I need? I see on Yamaha site they are 12v 1.7w.

I wanted to do the same thing. i replaces the tail/brake light with an LED from a standard 12V trailer, it works great, so im sure you could use the 12V bulbs from a car, i was worried on how much light will actually go through and iluminate the whole gauge, let me know how that goes, i want to do the same thing..
 
i bought blue bulbs for my srx gauges back a few years ago & they were never really blue.after a while they were completely green...i bought them at a auto parts store.

Thats what i heard from others, what do you think about installing an LED with a wide angle light??
 
That looks sweet, I have seen the blue bulbs, make sure you get the ones that have blue glass not the plastic covers. LED's work ok but you do need the wide angle ones, And they can be Pricey..

Yes, You can tell by the pic it has a normal bulb in it....Not LED.

Sometimes the bulb is a little smaller, but yes relativly same size, Depends on the manufacture.
 
in speed shop they sell little rubber boot that u place over the bulb it work awsome

i think your best place to get them is online, like Ebay, i found a few, and you can get two for the price of one in autozone, probably even cheaper... thats my opinion...
 
iowa80.com has big truck assories any kind of bulb you want. or any petro, pilot or TA truck stop has the led light bulbs, they should come in pairs of 2. dont get the painted kind of non led blue glass is better. led is far better. you wont have to change them as often. led is far brighter. worth the money
 
yes the ones i used looked stock.just blue glass.from advance auto.they did not look as good as that one picture showed.if you could find something led that wont change color over tim.thats what i would buy.
