Running a 48/40 advant with green at 60. WWW primary new 8dn20's with 4.5 both holes. Its hitting about 8600-8700. Whats the best way to get the rpms down to 8400-8500? Washers on the rivits? What would a BWB primary spring do? Adjustable weights are not an option at this point. All parts seem to be in good shape and alignment is good.
is it hitting that on hard pack or loose snow

What does it hit with a good bite out of the hole?
Toss a 1 gram washer under both rivets. should net ya 8400 rpm.
Getting good bite with 192 studs and about 8300ish outta the hole. The overrev is from about 80mph+ in 40f weather. Turk are you getting these washers from a hardware store or are these special washers from a go fast shop?

You need any washer that weigh 1 gram that is small enough to not touch the rollers....
If overrev is on top just add 1 washer to tip.
Thanks Turk!
How to fix the washer??

do you have like a 48/42 helix to try? i think your finish angle on your current 48/40 helix is too shallow, thus holding back the shift of the secondary at top end a little too much, and thus giving you 200 rpms over-rev. i believe if you try a helix w/same initial angle, but 2 deg more on the finish angle, you will hold a 8300-8400 on top end.
