Temp light flash patterns

I have an '01 700 and the temp light keeps flashing in intervals of 3. Anyone know what this means?

Is this upon start up then stops or just keeps going and going when the sled is running??

if its a long flash then 3 short flashes its something to do with the water temp sensor I was told, if its one long then 2 short I do not know

I know upon start up it flashes 3 times for diagnostic. After that, it keeps flashing the same. 3 short flashes, stop. 3 short flashes, stop and on and on. I was told it was a temp sensor. Sound right?

My Viper did the same and all it was was a loose wire connection in the plug to the sensor. Wiring can be tight to the plug. Make some slack when checking the connection.
