what are most people running for belts? hard compound or soft? OEM or aftermarket? i will be running Heelclickers set up for Aggressive upshift.
Thanks

drag guys like to use the soft belt from what i've heard.....better belt/clutch grab. i believe the soft belt is the yamaha 89L belt. the 8dn belt is a harder compound, but has long life, so its oriented well for trail use.

Don,t use the soft belt with heelclickers. 10X more chances the belt will explode which takes out the weights then kiss both clutches good bye

;)! A soft compound belt will be eaiser to make the clutches grab but it is not the fix to poor clutching. You should not have a problem grabbing the belt with clickers unless your setup is way off. I had a ultimax 3 snap on my stock srx on the lake. Luckly there was no damage to the clutches. I think it was a combination of the belt was tired and I ran it way longer distance then I was geared for. The 8dn may of done the same. I do run the 8dn on both the stocker and my 1000 and no issues with it so far.
