Hey guys,
I am taking both the vipers to a radar run / drag this weekend, never did it before, I have 2 stock 02 sxv' s studded w/ 192 and the other with 144 running premium fuel and installed tether cords, low profile windys. I do have an aftermarket sno stuff can that might sneak out a few more ponnies, but otherwise these sleds are well maintained , basically stock, We are looking for rider positions , weight shift, how not to spin out on a hole shot , etc, can anyone give us some pointers ? we just want to be safe and go have some fun and ride WOT !!!

1- 96 studs is plenty helps reduce rotating mass
2-do not tie it down , you will add new pressure points on hyfax and slow you down
3-regular fuel if you have stock heads
4-roll out smoothly keeps clutches cooler
5-tighten transfer rods some , reduce the transfer a little
6-elbows in , knees in , head down , tuck as good as you can and stay still,
7-try to warm your pipe up without fueling your engine up ( use the stand if they have one )
8-have a blast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you guys say regular fuel, do you mean like plain old pump fuel as opposed to race fuel, or do you mean 87 octane instead of 89,91, or 94???
The Viper calls for 89+
I'm not understanind why you'd run 87 instead of 89,91,94?

its a easy way of jetting down so to speak , the lower the octane the hotter the burn , dont try this on anything other than a 2000 ft. or less radar run . NOBODY IS TELLING YOU THAT ITS 100% SAFE , BUT SIMPLY THAT IT WILL MAKE MORE POWER!!!!
