what is the best way and results for cleaning power valves? any info you guys could help me out with would be great

this question has been asked alot...

do a search there are 1234675632413245465843542 ways to clean ur valves.. as for the "best way" its all personal preferance... aircraft paint thinner is what alot of ppl recomend to use

i don't know about using that stuff, that stuff might Mess up the coating on the valves... However i use carb cleaner, thats probably not any less Harsh

well my mtn viper only has 1700miles on it but however it has a terible low end bog and i have tryed almost everything so i figured i would rely back to the powervalves iv heard razor blades ,scotch brite pads, carb cleaner ect... i just wanna try somethin that one of you guys have personally tried and worked

I use the Carbcleaner then use scotch brite pad to remove most of the Carbon and if its real bad i use a razor blade to scrape the chunks off, being carefull not to damage the coating on the valves.

If its a low end bog then i would assume its more of a carb issue then pv's because the valves are closed up until around 6000 rpm.

yup thats what i use,,does not remove the coating, that coating is very tough you need to either scrap it off or grind it off.

Believe it or not wd-40 loosens up a lot of the gunk on them unless it is really crusty in which case I use a the side of a flat blade crewdriver which is dull.

As you can see there are many ways to do it, the most important thing to remember is not to damage the coating on the powervalves...
